The weather is very fickle.. one moment heavy rain and next moment no rain.. but one thing it has become quite dark and is chilling .. They have lived mostly in dry areas like Pune and this is definitely a welcome change for her.

“Ravi, what’s your schedule looking like next week ?” , asks Roopali checking her phone..

“Honey, nothing much happening in my world.. it’s a slow season for our business.  Why are you asking ?” , he looks back and asks his wife.

Roopali closing her phone says “Dear, we haven’t had this kind of vacation for a long period, I am thinking we should stay our holidays and enjoy this weather and nature.. see the green forest, deep water falls and beautiful weather here..”

Mandakini jumps in joy and echoes Roopa..”haa.. we should definitely stay back.. we don’t know whether we can get vacation time next year”

Noticing some concern in his wife’s voice, asks Mahaveer “why darling.. why are you saying we can’t get time next year ?”

Mandakini holding Roopa’s hands says “Mandaa.. I haven’t told you right, we are planning for kids soon”

There is a palpable change of mood in Roopali’s face and suddenly all of them become silent again. M

Meanwhile the driver comes in another car.

“Sir, our care taker Narsing sent me to pick you up”

“ok ok.. how far away is the guest house from here ?”

“its around 15 min drive sir, please get in”

All of them got into the new car, driver’s English is not bad. He keeps on explaining how good the sir (Ravinder’s father) is .. they ignore him and start watching the beautiful nature..

After a while Mandakini sees a small road side hut. “bhayya.. do you get hot filter coffee here ?” , asks Mandakini..

Driver stopping the vehicle next to the hut , says “haa.. madam.. you get the best coffee here.. can I get for all of you ?”

She has only inquired about it but he actually stopped the car. They all say ok, get 4 hot filter coffees..

Meanwhile Ravinder gets nature call.. he couldn’t control any more.. he gets down and goes little bit far away and starts pissing..

Roopali is super angry.. he doesn’t know the manners and there are some local people in the hut watching him.. after relieving his pressure, Ravi starts walking towards the hut… it’s a small hut with few lanterns outside.. there is no electricity connection there.. he picks up some conversation with the locals and starts sipping his coffee there.. he saw a old woman making coffee.. she has broken teeth but a cute smile..  she is looking at him and laughing while making coffee.. something weird ? Ravi enjoys his coffee

After completing his coffee, he comes and gets into the car front seat next to the driver. Roopali looks at him angrily. All of them are praising the driver for getting them such a tasty hot coffee.. the driver blushes and starts the car.. Ravi’s eyes are on his side mirror.. the small  glittering hut and the cute old lady waving hands.. he turned back and wishes the old lady bye.. as soon as he turns back and looks at the side mirror, he doesn’t see the hut and lanterns !!! he sees only the lady waving her hand saying good bye !!! Ravi is shocked and before he could turn back to check the hut, the car took the turn on the corner.. shittt.. what has happened ? why the hut suddenly disappeared ?

Is it only him or every one has noticed it.. before he could ask others.. the driver stops the vehicle again.. another small hut.. lanterns.. this time hot corn pakoras.. the driver’s behavior is annoying but what to do.. sometimes the locals get excited to please the guests and do some over action. Ravi’s heartbeat starts raising after seeing similar hut, lanterns and the old lady with broken teeth.. Driver gets them hot hot pakoras which is really good.. every one’s eyes are on pakora but Ravi’s eyes are on the side mirror .. he is tense, what will happen now ? same scene.. the old woman comes out to greet him and the driver starts the car.. suddenly the hut disappears in the mirror.. this time he turns back quickly to find the hut as is and there is no woman there.. he is relieved but then why in the mirror the hut disappeared ? not once.. but twice..

After a while another hut.. this time Ravi is stern.. he looks at driver angrily and says “don’t stop we are getting late”

The driver continues..

The guest house comes … looking from outside it looks lavish and the greenery around the massive building is eye pleasing.. as the car comes near the main gate comes the care taker… limping..  Narsing Yadav !!!



Ravi at the front seat with the window shutter down can clearly see the old man.. He is very dark, with blisters like water bubbles scattered over his face with a squint eye and broken tooth. One hand is paralyzed. Even the clothes are dirty. His face is wrinkled due to age. He doesn’t have a single hair on his head. He has white hair on his ears, on his chest and everywhere else. He looks like he would fall down if there was a strong wind. His body is so thin.
He had a stroke on one side and his mouth smelled bad as he came near towards Ravi.

His wife died when he was 50 years old. Then he had a stroke. Both his legs were paralyzed. His children threw him out of the house.  He has been working as care taker to this estate  for the last twenty years .
His face is dirty , his face looks ugly because of the dirt. He is nearly 70 year old , couldn’t stand properly.  His mouth always smells bad as he chews gutka which is common practice in villages. It’s difficult to ignore his bad body and mouth odor.

Rupali also saw him from back seat and she shivers momentarily looking at him !!!
