Fantasy Adventures of Prem

Prem was taken aback by the ferocity, but let Shyamala get her way. She simply let go of his arms and leaned into the wall, while Anitha grabbed his face and continued eating him. Prerana came in and was deeply startled. She dropped the plate bring back Shyamala into the world. Shyamala was also startled on getting caught, closed her mouth with her hand and ran away, tears running out of her eyes. Prerana was unable to utter a word. Prem caught hold of Prerana and made her sit. He said everything is okay, but he understood Anitha also wants him. He asked her not to get angry on Anitha and sort things out with her and left.

Prem got on the bike and began to ride. He just wanted to make Shyamala stop and go away but it had gone too far. Will Prerana take him back? Will Shyamala keep helping them? What happens to the relationship between Shyamala and Prerana? With all these thoughts, Prem just kept roaming the streets. The night soon fell and he decided to go back to the hostel. He suddenly heard a thud and a scream. He rushed towards the direction and saw a old man thrashed by a car. He got hit badly and seems to have broken a bane or tow. Deep cuts ran out and he was oozing blood.

With no time, Prem got him on his bike, removed his full sleaved shirt, tied the old man to his back securely and drove off to a nearest hospital. The hospital first denied treatment to the old man citing criminal cases. But Prem requested them atleast for first aid. The duty doctor for the night Dr. Priyanka saw the condition of the old man and accepted for first aid. With lot of blood lost, Prem donated his blood to the old man. The night passed on with Dr. Priyanka care and the old man was able to speak in the morning. She bound his broken arm and leg in bandage and asked Prem to take him away as the hospital management will not accept him.

Prem thanked her and took the old man to his hostel. But he stopped Prem and said, I am a nobody, with no body. I am not allowed to roam all around. But you have given me your blood, for that I can only give this in return. Listen to this Mantra. Chant it a million times and Devi will appear. She has the ability to fulfil your wishes. Now please let me go. I am needed somewhere else.

Prem took the man for a tea and bun. Inspite of Prem’s requests, he left. The serious tone of the old man made Prem believe in the old man and he went to hostel and after taking a bath, he started the chanting. The mantra was to be chanted regularly for a limited number of sets over a period of time. But Prem did not know that, he made the chanting vigorously. Like doing a heavy work out session, it began to drain him. Blood started pouring out of his nose and his head began to spin. His stomach burned and every part of his body was pins and needles. But he persisted, because of the calm the mantra provided.

His friends were worried about him and reported it to the dean. He was hospitalized but he did not stop the chant. His parents were informed of his detreating condition and they rushed for his aid. The word also reached Prerana and she along with Shyamala had come to visit him. They all thought this was all because of depression due to him failing the exams and berated themselves for it. By fifteenth day, Prem has completed the chanting.

It was night time and Devi appeared before him. Prem was lost in her ethereal beauty. Tranquility radiated around her and it felt like al his worries, pains melted away. He thanked her for coming. She asked what is that he wish for. Prem said he did not have any wish at the moment. So Devi said think of her when he had finalized his wish. Prem relaxed and slept in the hospital bed. His mother was sleeping near him but did not get any whiff about this. The morning his father tried to get him to their hometown for better treatment. But Prem was all fresh and began to smile with peace. Seeing that, they agreed to let him stay a little longer.
