Ruby was lost in her thoughts but still could not take her eyes off what she was seeing.

She was feeling bad for him that he had to go through all that pain and she was the reason for it. “We are the reason for his injuries...directly. He was trying to protect us.” The sane one chimed in.

It was Ruby’s phone. Amit was calling. She came back to earth and in an effort to not to get caught, quickly turned and started walking towards the main door.
A few seconds later Sid heard the main door close.
