Meeting Between the Prince and Nishith Singh

His train of thought was disrupted when the guards opened the iron door of the dungeon and lit a torch. Then, the Prime Minister Narasena entered.

Seeing Narasena, Nishith Singh was astonished. He had assumed that the crown prince Mahendra Pratap of Amargarh had either imprisoned or killed Narasena after the victory. But seeing the Prime Minister hale and hearty, he felt somewhat relieved.

Narasena said, "Forgive me, Your Highness, but you were mistaken in your assessment of the Queen. She possesses all the qualities of a true queen. She is an extraordinary woman. Today, she is the one who has protected us."

Infuriated, Nishith Singh demanded, "How has the Queen protected you? Tell me immediately."

At this moment, Prince Mahendra Pratap emerged from the shadows and greeted Nishith Singh with a smile, saying, "Your Highness, I am Mahendra Pratap, the crown prince of Amargarh. I was the general of the Amargarh army in this war. It was by my hand that you were defeated."

Nishith Singh, bewildered, said, "What more business can you possibly have with me?"

Nishith Singh said, "You are thanking me for attacking Amargarh?"

The prince said, "No, Your Highness, it is because you attacked Amargarh that I have been granted this extraordinary, heavenly experience. Without your indirect assistance, this would not have been possible in my life."

Nishith Singh, a bit suspicious, said, "What experience?"

The prince said, "Prime Minister, you should tell His Highness. He is my elder, much older than me. It would not be appropriate for me to say this to him directly."

Prime Minister Narasena hesitated a bit before saying, "Your Highness, after the victory, Prince Mahendra Pratap proposed to Queen Urmila Devi as per the terms of the truce. Accordingly, the Queen accepted his seed last night."
