Yes , That is what i have been saying her circle is full of Toxic Women all of them are victim of Patriarchy ( which is fine based on their past trauma ) but there should be one or two character who also give her correct opinion like dont cheat on your husband or maybe someone whose first opinion about marital problems is not to cheat or seek an affair no matter how tempting the other man is . Just to balance the thing because Its like the whole story is on the shoulders of Men who are at fault and they accept their mistake and they are working to make themselves better but on the other side all of the women are Men hating , cheaters and always doing the opposite of Normal. That is why i said we need a character completely opposite of Meghna , Just for contrast , It will bring some fun . I mean a women countering every shit Meghna says.
I don't want to spoil the story but there is a reason I introduced all this toxicity only to introduce the deterrant later. There is already a female character I have introduced but not explored yet so her exploration will eventually bring the approach of a different perspective and will be crucial to Sonarika's arc not just in this part , but the entire saga in general. For now the toxicity arc is given more importance because tensions are rising in these characters life and very soon a huge conflict will emerge that will not only affect these characters , but also put some of them in danger.
Yeah , This thing is confusing. 10 years of marriage and she still doesnt know Hemant. I mean to think that Hemant is gonna turn out like Kunal is absurd and then she herself turned hemant into something that she hated " cuckold" . Yes your short fuse argument explained her nature but still on the cheating part its little hard to believe that she fell for Vikram too easily and then she completely changed . No guilt no remorse but now she is ready to even ignore her family for Her lover and at same time excited about her Wedding Anniversary . You have created very complex situation , I am excited to see how you gonna treat it.
Well that is the thing , she doesn't want Hemant to be a "cuckold" in the sense. But she also is conscious that she is indeed cheating on him. She dreamed many scenarios of a "cuckold" Hemant , but she didn't like those dream visions. In her mind , Hemant is a kind hearted man who only sees the good in people and is often very understanding to others. He always prefers diffusing the situation or ignoring any kind of conflicts. In a way through Mouni , she also learned Kunal had that same characteristics too and she is making herself believe that what happened to Kunal will eventually happen to Hemant because both of them had some similar characteristics. But Sonarika is terrified by the idea of Hemant becoming Kunal which is why she is full on against the idea of their friendship. Because Sonarika believes Hemant is too innocent and simple to understand Kunal might be manipulating him. And that is the part I loved more about writing this as her duality. Sonarika does feel remorse and pain and she has expressed it in the past. For now she is just more involved with Vikram , which is why it seems like she is ignoring her family. But in reality , she is just being selfish , she just wants to make the cake and eat it as well. Which is why I showcased her that way , she doesn't want to choose between her men. Rather she wants to split her life with them seeking different things from each of them.
Michael the Archangel was best part ( It reminds me of Archangels from SUPERNATURALS , I mean I can easily imagine Hemant in The Image of Castiel but with Black Trench coat )
But in the last para you painted the Image Of Hemant larger than life , I just wanna say that you should do justice with that Image .
I generally took that inspiration from the Christian lore. I've hinted there is a "Devil" in this story with how there is a human trafficking and drugs ring that have used the Devil as their symbol. The girls trapped in that container had the "Devil" stamps on them which signifies there is a larger threat looming. But in the christian myths , Michael The Archangel was the one who defeated the Devil and banished him from the heavens. So here in the story , there is a connection of this devil markings to Hemant. Also in the Christian folklore , Michael is God's Angel Of War. So yes the character is meant to be a larger than life dynamic. And we will see in the future chapters how larger than life the whole setting can be.
There will also be an interesting connection to HinduGods folklore as well. It is a part I am curious about because the connection happens in a cool moment.
I like the detailing you put in explaining what was Hemant was doing and what exactly he created and why it was important and its USP .
And I love how you use the real agencies, Those officers , Their interaction, and Then bringing the International trade . The plan of business etc etc . Just love the detailing and efforts you put . I like that you are not rushing , many people would skip all these details but these small details make story more interesting and more authentic .
I wanna ask you , Did you do any research about it or Already had some Knowledge about Mechanism and parts of guns and how it work ? ( I know we all have some knowledge about how guns works thanks to Discovery and Nat geo and History TV18, but still I think you have put more detail in it so I am just curious if you wrote it by yourself or you did googling about it and then wrote about it )
and you also said That *History of Violence* is your favorite Novel (If I am not wrong , But i googled it there is no Novel but DC Graphics Comic? ) ( Right) I know about the movie , And I think Hemant's character was inspired by the Character of Viggo( Main lead actor man ) ?
A good portion of inspiration for my stories come from my love for the movies. And an important concept I always like in movie stories is the stories where the lead character is often portrayed as a simple man is often was someone else in his past , someone more bold and ruthless. The love for that concept started for me with my first Tamil film I watched which was "Baasha" with Rajnikanth. Then in hindi , my all time favorite "Shahenshah" starring Amitabh Bachchan. There is more hindi films in that concept I have watched but Shahenshah stands out for me because it also has Vigilantism as a cool factor. Then there is the Lokesh Kanagaraj movies which almost all of his films had that similar concepts where the lead males were all having some dark pasts and ruthless selves hidden in them. But the most I liked is the Malayalam Movie LUCIFER which to me is the perfect movie and story that has rightfully showcased this concept in the best way. Why is why I have used this concept in my story because there is a lot of intrigue and potential to take the character to unexplored territories with storylines like that. Another example is also Salaar movie. In a way I can say Salaar's world has an influence to my story.
But I won't be going overboard like the movie did, my story won't feature any fictional place or imaginary cities etc. LOL.
I will be using real locations though there will be events that never happened in the real world happen here , but I also want to acknowledge real tragedies like the Mumbai terror attack and make a connection with that incidents as well.
And yes , the history of violence was indeed a graphic novel rather than just a novel and I acknowledge it as a wonderful piece of literature. As for the knowledge about guns , I am an avid game lover and my preferred games are mostly shooters so I tend to be very knowledgable about guns because we have to be aware about our tools right? LOL. And yes there was some good research that went with the story because of the world building I wanted to do. Hemant's past is another world of its own. And now its not just Hemant's character that is evolving , but that old world as well. And eventually they will come into conflict , and that will be when new challenges will come and dangers arise. So , future chapters will get intense!
