Also weird thing , I also noticed this story and similarity of it with a popular hindi serial Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. There too the lead male character Raman is betrayed by his wife and moves with another man. Only difference is there , it was two children , Ruhi and Adi , Adi is sent to be with his mother while Ruhi is sent to his father. Though this part of the story isn't the main plot because the serial was about Raman finding new love with a woman called Ishita. Which make me wish , I hope Kunal have an Ishita of his own in the future. I want a full chapter dedicated to him building this new life with his new love. Maybe an epilogue would be enough , but it should be long. I don't want the ending to have there you go , Kunal won , THE END. 

Maybe in the epilogue we can saw Kunal shifts base to someplace else , possibly US and the co-parenting deal is changed where Aditya's early education plans will be handed over to Esha while the higher education will be done by Kunal in the US. And by the end , we can have Aditya learning to love Kunal's new family and having the need to be with him on tha long term than with Esha. After all , Aditya isn't going to be a child forever. Plus it would be a nice added consequence for Esha's actions as she will eventually loose Aditya despite the love she gave her because in the end she also betrayed the child as well ruining his family.
