I mean all things consider Kunal is definitely the hero of the story. He is setup to be the victor like Part U ending said. The words below is one of a paragraphs in the ending of Part U.
Kunal's mind churned as Aditya's playful chatter faded into background noise. Choices loomed before him: he could either resign himself to a lifetime as the defeated man whose wife, despite all his love and care, chose another, or he could seize this new strategy-not for physical desire, but for redemption. To uncover the truth would be his salvation, a chance to live as a hero in his own story. Even if he stumbled, he wouldn't spend his days drowning in regret.
That is potentially what the story is setting up. This is the start of Kunal's redemption arc , his salvation begins , because by seeking the truth he won't be living in life in regret but realizing the reality that it wasn't his fault. He will have his happy ending eventually. And in my own personal bias , I want only him to have a happy ending.
