I see your perspective , and I can understand some of your reasoning.
I am glad you brought up game40it , because one of my favorite story in this site was from him called "My Wife , Why Did She Betray Me". The character of Saravanan in that story in my opinion was hands down one of the best written husband characters in stories like this. Because in the end he was the one who got the last laugh and he got to have his happy ending. Compared to the never ending pile of "WIMP" husbands this site keeps on shitting out over and over again.
As for consequences for Esha , I do believe there is enough for her now. After all , her new relation was built on the ashes and damages of her former marriage. And despite a possible happy life that Aniket provided along with his child , she would still have their sorrows and traumas because of her mistakes and the eventual distance of her son Aditya spending time with his father Kunal. And the epilogue can draw a parallel where Esha despite living a life with Aniket and her new child could never be completely happy , Kunal on the other hand gets to live a happy life with another woman with love and understanding. In a way Esha can be called by Society as a Gold Digger considering she is moving in with Aniket who much richer than Kunal. That would add another insult in society to her character. Esha's father dying from her actions would be an icing on the cake of her sufferings.
Which is why I propose the idea that the epilogue should feature a meeting between old Kunal and old Esha reminiscing their lives with each other where they disclose that Esha had to live a conflicting life of happiness and pain while Kunal ends up finding true love and finally forgives Esha saying to her that he is happy that Esha abandoned him because if she didn't , Kunal wouldn't have found his new love and lived a fullfilling life. That would be the best ending. His last lines to Esha should be.
"Thank you for abandoning me Esha , because that way , I was able to find and experience true LOVE and COMPANIONSHIP!"
