Finally, the chapter everyone was waiting, the grand finale is here and many were disappointed. To an extent I was too but I read the update again and I this time feel it could have been better on certain aspects.
The main problems I have with this rewritten version, esp. the last chapter are the following things:
1. Desai’s as masked cuckold theory.
Last ending we saw Desai was a rapist and hated for it and sent home, Krish_999 changed it to make him a better person this time but he was turned into a cuckold. Apart from last chapter, there were few signs before where he only impersonated Krish but at that time the chapters were written with words that show meaning as if he was trying to impersonate Krish as he is jealous of him because Meera loves him, and he ultimately as a person who was seeking her love wants to be as Krish when he is in bed with Meera so he can feel that love. So how did that turn into a cuckold theory? Ok let’s say in the past Ananya was made to sleep with his friend and he enjoyed the power in doing it and enjoyed watching it, but he is not a cuckold for doing it because he didn’t own Ananya as his wife or lover. She was only his conquest so him making her to sleep with other is truly not a cuckold theory if that is being portrayed as a cuckoldry and only sign in his life then I don’t know I feel its forced plot. Even in this last chapter, Desai asked Krish to be in the room and participate to only show Meera that Krish did not change so it would be easy for him to claim her eventually...that was his plan, and it was not him being cuckold. I do not know why he switched places with Krish and let him fuck her…that truly did not resonate with his personality, Old Desai would make Meera orgasm and let Krish fuck her mouth based on his past aggressive, dominating personality and show Meera that Krish is that cuckold but he can claim her…The way he swapped places with Krish seems out of his character forcibly put so Meera can tag him with Krish.
In explanation, Author added a twist that Desai left Ananya because she regretted after she slept with his friend and now, he is looking for Meera because she is already some one who sleeps with others, so he was pursuing her to be his partner, so she won’t regret once she sleeps with the men, he chooses…whattttt?
“You and Meera were different. And I saw that as one of the many qualities that made Meera special. The bond you two had—I wanted that too. If she were to join me, I know I would have made her sleep with men of my choosing. And she wouldn’t regret it. I wouldn’t want her to regret it—that’s the point.”
Desai only knew her to sleep with others around chapter 40 or 41 when she revealed about Jai…he didn’t know anything about her before that chapter, but he carried her pic in his purse even before she revealed about Jai.…something is not right and not conveyed correctly in this plot. Desai being cuckold is a weak plot with many loopholes and very few convincing signs which make it hard to believe it.
2. The bond that Krish saw between Desai and Meera.
“I watched, amazed at how their conversation was unfolding. At the start, Meera had made it clear that there was no chance of them being together. But by the end, her gaze lingered on Desai more, her eye contact deepening, as if silently acknowledging the sincerity of his affection. It was clear to me now that, despite her words, something in her was responding to him.“
We have been hammered with chemistry between Desai and Meera since chapter 43 when she first time lays eyes on Desai again after he left, there was undeniable longing in him and his longing was unnerving Meera irrevocably and it kept on and on until they both couldn’t take it and committed adultery on concert night, then continued with Krish’s permission in second bedroom then again in alpine heights...this bonding that Krish saw in rewritten chapters was not there before and even if it was there, it never exceeded the levels beyond an affair…but Meera clearly felt comfortable, alive, responding to his bodily needs and yet there was a familiarity between them that we have never seen her have it with any of her past lovers over the 3 part series, and exactly for this reason Krish wanted to separate and want Meera to be with Desai because he saw that bond has developed so much that they could have a life together with out his fantasies and Meera would be happy, so this last chapter did not explain Meera’s feelings well, Maybe Meera in her mind has clarity on who she belongs to and who is just a temporary lover for her but that clarity is lacking in Krish in the first place before this chapter began but it was not resolved by end of it and it did not get resolved yet by the end of this story as well. So does that mean tomorrow if Krish let’s say pushes her towards Ashish or some one with no fantasies and genuinely loves Meera, it’s a given that she will fall for them…as she did for Desai. If not for Desai’s cuckoldry she would have gone with him for 2 weeks and she also rejected Krish and accepted that he won’t come back to her.
"Yeah, I know." Meera raised her hand as if to stop me and continued. "I know I'm done chasing you, done trying to make amends. It's time I…"
"I was just telling him I’m done resisting you. There’s no point in that anymore, right? It’s time I stop and really look at you – to see where your heart is."
Even the act of spitting was turned into nothing so there is no need for explanation.
If it was only kink...why would she suggest in the past that it only belonged to my Krish and why would she say in last chapter that Desai became special for her when she did it...I feel like author took an escape route here lol...This whole chapter skipped explaining her feelings for Desai, This gesture too is part of it, author conveniently made its value 0.
So why would author skip explaining her stand towards Desai whether he is cuckold or not? End of the day it doesn’t matter if Desai is cuckold or not…last ending she chose Krish even before it was revealed that Desai is bad, this chapter she pushed both out of the house…but the bond she shared with Desai was conveniently skipped with out clarity to Krish.
3. Glorifying Meera and leaving Krish out to the dust.
The previous chapter was like Avengers: Infinity war, it has such an emotional connection, love poured between the couple and sacrifices were seen, hearts were heavy.
This chapter is not Avengers: end game…Plot was twisted and lost its way. Krish is the one who sacrificed his happiness as he knew his weakness, he knows he will make her sleep with other men if she stays with her, he was ready to leave everything for her, yet in the process of making Desai cuckold, Krish was brought back as a cuckold and his weakness was shown to us all. So, if correct parameters were set, situations arise, Meera is game then cuckold Krish never dies…He is always there lingering around in dormant state. Meera is parting with Krish, Krish is leaving Meera, Desai is the only one who should rejoice…but all three of them had sex…joyfully. I don’t know how dicks rise when people are losing their loved ones so unrealistic. I don’t know what Meera meant by this:
“It’s not that I wanted to change you, Krish. But I’ve always hoped to see you stand up for what you initiate. You made me sleep with other men, allowed me to play with my emotions, and then you began experimenting with it. I knew I would falter, but instead of hiding in the background, watching where I was heading, I would’ve preferred you to be a part of it—guide me, bring me back when I lost my way. I've never attached myself to anyone the way I have with you. But with Susheel, you pushed me too far. The threat of leaving me—it was too much. At one point, I even thought it was just a game between the two of you. But when I realized it was real, I prayed that it was just a game."
The whole point is for Krish not to initiate it again and again something where she is hurt. Yes he made her sleep with men, he experimented but at the same time she never says no but she has regret later so Krish is trying to do the only solution that is available to him that is to let her go so she will be at peace and question for her to falter and him bringing her back is not the solution…I thought she understood that in previous chapter and hence she said yes but here looks like she did not get it. She calls him heartless person; says he deserves to watch her and Desai…what the hell…You can’t even see a person and his sacrifice for you? Now suddenly it becomes Krish’s fault for inviting Desai? What happened to her fucking bond with Desai? If not for that…Krish would have accepted her like other million times when she came back from having sex with others like Das, Shekar, Ashish with out emotionally connected. He would have supported her and brought her back like she wanted in the above dialogue.
He did not because he saw you cross a line with Desai and he hoped you would find happiness with him..…now she says that Krish threatening that he will leave her is too much for her. Damn it…what have you made Meera in this chapter…its portrayed as if no fault of her but the only sacrifice that Krish did was at a fault here?…Why this glorification of Meera? It would have been a perfect ending instead if she explained to both men what her feelings towards them are and choose Krish or maybe go separate ways. Maybe Krish will realize it and claim her back…this whole Desai cuckoldry is a forced plot which did not give ample space for couple to shine for their love.
“I realized then that this night wasn’t about the union of two souls – it was purely about the union of two bodies. Desai hardly made an effort to talk about anything meaningful; he was more focused on teasing, turning every moment into a game of seduction.”
Even if we keep the Desai cuckoldry, it should have been Krish who sees his nature and bring Meera back before she commits to his nature. He was seeing signs all this chapter how he was not aiming for her heart but going for her body…he was getting excited when Meera was reaching out to him and enjoying it. We read so many instances like that but ending glory again went to Meera…only because she must realize that Desai is a cuckold to let him go out of her system.
4. Using pregnancy for reunion.
This is my biggest gripe in this chapter. Why? Why pregnancy? It just sucked the emotion out rather than showed it as a compromise.
Would Meera called Krish and tried to bring him back to her life with out Pregnancy?
Her last statements are below:
“I’m done with both of you fuckers,” she shouted again. “I’m done with this life with you. I’m done with the friendship with you, Susheel fucking Desai.”
“You fucker, Krish. You said you weren’t good for me because you’d make me fuck other men. You said this moron would be the one for me.”
“You may believe I’m the one for you, but I believe you’re no better than Krish. You’re two sides of the same coin. Equal in weight. Equal in value. Equal in your twisted fantasies. . .And I’m not going to be a victim of your games anymore. I want to end it, damn it! Oh my God, what have I become?”
“You and I are not made for each other. Like Krish, you too deserve a woman who has the determination to say no to you when you come up with fantasies like this. If you don’t want such a partner, then go find someone else. I don’t want to be that partner.”
After saying all this and determining that she wanted a life with out games, fantasies and never want to be with the one’s whom she threw out of her life, she came back to Krish…she says she loves him but she forget that Krish is just another side of Desai so just because she loves Krish , does that mean she is OK to be with him and play his games? Did you come back to him because you loved him or because you are pregnant?
I believe she loved him as I have this whole story and not for baby, but Krish is some one who is a cuckold so how is she OK with it now after blaming Desai and throwing him out…is it fair? Hence, I told this whole cuckold plot is weak.
I said earlier comment that first half is blockbuster and second half is weak…its because even if we keep this cuckold plot, if there was a way to show Krish changed convincingly and add lot of dialogues in depth about each other’s feelings and bringing back that lost bond between with the promises that she would say no and he would not be a cuckold then there would have been a way out at least for their future.
After the couple’s reunion is complete, both together finding out she is pregnant would have been better ending. Now the ending is shown as if even if they mess up again, they will find solution together so its like same as last ending with no solution for the fantasies problem. Maybe like the story said at the end, that its not an end but just a turn of a page.
Overall, the series is our favorite and epic and will always stay with us forever. It’s never easy to write for such a complicated plot and twists that went into this story. Krish_999 did a marvelous job in writing it so convincingly and making it a novel. I thank you myself and from all other readers for giving us this masterpiece. Hope you get much needed relief and rest from this writing.
