Meera's heart pounded as she watched from behind a corner, her hands trembling with rage and disbelief. Seeing Riya, her innocent sister-in-law, caught in such a compromising situation, surrounded by these two men, made her blood boil. She waited as she wanted to understand what hold Arjun & Vikram had on Riya. Arjun and Vikram had finished their revolting act of forcing themselves on Riya for a kiss. Just as Arjun and Vikram were releasing Riya, Meera couldn’t hold herself back anymore. With a sudden rush of determination, she stormed into the small, secluded area where they were gathered, her eyes blazing with fury.

 
“Riya!” she called out, her voice filled with shock and authority.

 
Riya froze, her eyes widening in panic as she turned and saw Meera standing there. The color drained from her face, and she quickly scrambled off Arjun's lap, adjusting her dress. Her hands trembled as she struggled to straighten herself. Arjun and Vikram's smirks vanished, replaced by an expression of irritation and confusion.

 
Meera stepped forward, her gaze sharp as she looked at the two men. “What is happening here?” she demanded, her voice low but dripping with an intensity that left no room for argument.

 
Tears welled up in her eyes. Riya tried to say something, but her voice faltered. Arjun, trying to regain his composure, put on a calm facade. "We were just having some fun, nothing serious," he said, his tone casual, but there was an edge of nervousness as he met Meera's steely gaze.

 
“Fun?” Meera repeated, her eyes narrowing. She took a step closer to them, her eyes never leaving theirs. “Blackmailing an innocent girl into this, and you call it fun?”

 
Riya looked down, unable to meet Meera’s eyes, her shame evident. Meera reached out and placed a comforting hand on Riya’s shoulder, guiding her behind and shielding her from the two men.

 
“You think you can get away with this? You can treat her like this just because you hold something over her?” Meera's voice rose, each word laced with disdain.

 
Arjun tried to speak, but Meera held her hand, cutting him off. “I want the truth. Now. What video are you talking about?” She glanced at Riya, her gaze softening slightly. “Riya, tell me. What’s going on?”

 
Riya, her voice shaky, finally spoke. “They... they have a video of me with Shankar. They’re using it to force me into... this.”

 
Meera’s eyes widened; her face momentarily filled with shock. She took a deep breath, then turned back to Arjun and Vikram. “If you think for a second that I’m going to let you continue this, you’re mistaken. Whatever you have, it ends now. You'll regret it if you try to do anything to Riya again.”

 
Vikram, trying to play it off, said, "And what are you going to do about it? It’s her word against ours."

 
Meera gave a chilling smile. “You seem to forget whose house you’re working at. My husband and Riya's father won't take this kindly. And I have enough influence to ensure you two won’t be able to work in this city again if you cross me.”

 
“You will delete that video and stay away from Riya from now on,” Meera said firmly.

 
After Meera's strong words, she expected Arjun and Vikram to back off. Instead, she noticed their demeanor change, a sinister glint appearing in their eyes. They were, in a sense, stripping her with eyes. They exchanged a knowing look, and Arjun pulled out his mobile phone, displaying it to Meera.

 
“You’re pretty brave, stepping in like this,” Arjun said, his voice filled with a mix of admiration and menace. “But perhaps you should take a closer look before you make any more threats.” He played the video, and Meera's heart sank as she watched the intimate footage of Riya and Shankar. It was explicit, raw, and damning.

 
Meera’s face paled as the video played, and she tried to mask her shock. Arjun said again, “If we release this, it will ruin Riya’s life and disgrace the entire family. Imagine what your husband would think of this.”

 

Meera clenched her jaw, struggling to keep her composure.

 
Vikram stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Meera. “We’re not the ones who have something to lose here. It’s your family’s reputation on the line, not ours,” he said coldly.

 
Arjun added, “All we want is a little... cooperation. You saw how we handled Riya earlier. We weren’t asking for anything too outrageous. Just a kiss here and there, nothing harmful.” He paused, looking Meera up and down with a smirk that made her skin crawl. “Since you want to play the protector, you must join in instead. Make sure we get what we want.”

 
Meera’s eyes blazed with anger, but she felt trapped. If she resisted, this video would ruin everything—Riya’s future, her husband’s reputation, and the family name. She looked over at Riya, who was still behind her, her face a mask of fear and helplessness. Meera’s heart broke for her, knowing how scared she was.

 
Taking a deep breath, Meera tried to find a way out, but she realized there wasn’t any. She turned back to Arjun and Vikram, her voice tight as she finally spoke. “If I agree to your demands, you promise you won’t hurt Riya or release this video?” she asked.

 
Arjun and Vikram exchanged glances before Arjun nodded slowly, a predatory smile forming on his lips. “You have our word. As long as we get what we want, Riya will be safe.”

 
Meera swallowed, her heart pounding with dread. She knew there was no other way to protect Riya than to comply with their demands. Her mind raced with the weight of what she was agreeing to. “Fine,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “I’ll do what you want.”

 
Arjun’s grin widened. “Good. Then let’s not waste any time, shall we?”

 
Vikram stepped closer, his gaze lingering on Meera with undisguised interest. “We just need a little proof of your... cooperation.”

 
Riya’s eyes filled with tears as she clutched onto Meera’s arm, whispering, “I’m so sorry, Meera, I never wanted this…”

 
Meera gently brushed Riya’s tears away, her heart breaking with each passing second. She gave Riya a tight smile. “It’s not your fault,” she whispered, trying to reassure her. She turned back to the two men, preparing herself mentally for what lay ahead.

 
She had to protect Riya, no matter the cost.
