I hope Meera used the extra time to meet Nidhi and uncover that Krish was present at Alpine Heights or somehow aware of everything happened there (their conversations, behaviors, etc.). This discovery would help Meera understand Krish's actions and motives.

Chapter 49 is filled with intimacy, love, and enjoyment between Meera and Desai, making it hard to accept that Meera experienced significant regret just a few hours later. Recall that she visited the apartment during her lunch break, engaged in three rounds of sex, took a bath, and had lunch before returning to work (not in the same order). She could have easily stayed in the apartment until 3.30 pm and then met Krish at home by 7 pm. There seems to be no apparent reason for her abrupt change of heart following such an intense period of euphoria.

Chapter 49 is filled with intimacy and enjoyment, I doubt it filled with love. If it did, Meera would have acknowledged it with Desai as in her mind she is alone with Desai for first time with out knowledge of Krish and she is free of his spying. Even if let's say she does not realize it yet, it wouldn't fall into the category of love yet. so we need last chapter to determine it. As far as significant change immediately after her euphoria is because obviously of guilt of cheating Krish. I thought that was plain and simple. She thought she would enjoy the moments with Desai and not feel bad but against her thought process she felt bad still for cheating Krish and couldn't take it after deed is done. So hence her regret, the regret part is not unrealistic and happens all the time after cheating. It will only stop if in her mind she knows that she loves Desai now and not Krish.

This chapter is particularly troubling and raises doubts about Meera's honesty. Remember her last words before leaving were "I'll think about it," referring to confessing her infidelity to Krish. It's possible she devised this drama to gain Krish's sympathy. If this is the case, her meeting with Nidhi would only expose her true intentions. Was Meera a deceitful person, a sinner, or someone who made a mistake and instantly realized it? The longer we wait, the more possible scenarios emerge. The author must provide a compelling reason for Meera's turnaround, even if she decides to be with Desai.

Yes she thought she will confess to Krish about her meeting so that based on both Desai and Meera's knowledge , Krish is still having fantasy of watching them together and enjoying it. So if she confesses it she is thinking Krish might allow her to meet with Desai and she can give all the details, in that way Desai and Meera can have fun and also Krish too.Hence when she was with Desai she said she will think about it, but once she is out of there , she could really see the path her cheating with Desai might take them in future for her own marriage. She could have guessed that if they pull Krish into their game, Krish will merely become a true cuckold while Desai will own her.
So she might have confessed to Krish to stop these games and lets plan for a kid and start fresh. If her plan was to be with Desai and truly loves Desai, why would she propose for family? Why would she stop her own happiness by getting pregnant?  To me what's happening with her is always simple, She thinks Krish did not change so their bond took a severe beating over the time, she is addicted to Desai and sex with him, she has forged a bond with Desai while sleeping with him all these months, she has now arrived at a point in her life where she has to choose what it means for her the bond she has with Desai vs what she has for Krish. If truly she loves Krish and no one else, then her bond with Desai is not significant but the question is how will author prove it to Krish. If he can prove it to Krish then we readers can also understand it right?
