"What's going on? It took you so long to go to the bathroom." I stood up and walked out of the bedroom with bare feet.
When I came to the door, I looked towards the toilet. It was dark in the living room and corridor, and there were no lights on. Does Sam go to the bathroom without turning on the light? I walked through the living room in the dark and walked to the bathroom door. I pushed the door in and turned on the light, but I didn't see Sam inside.
Strange, where was Sam? Did he go upstairs to use the toilet?
I wanted to go upstairs, but I was afraid of disturbing my mother's rest, so I had to go back to the bedroom and lie down. Sam might be upstairs using the bathroom, or else where else could he go. It was midnight, and it was raining heavily with thunder and lightning outside.
After waiting for a while, Sam still didn't return to the bedroom, which made me feel very strange. Could it be that Sam fainted in the toilet on the second floor?
Thinking of this, I was startled, got up and walked to the second floor.
When we came to the corner of the second floor, the second floor was also dark with no light. The toilet on the second floor was at the end of the second floor. The door there was closed. Sam was inside?
I passed my mother's bedroom and walked to the bathroom. I opened the door and looked around, but I didn't see Sam.
"Holy crap, where is Sam?" I suddenly got goosebumps. Sam couldn't have run away from home because he was sleepwalking in the middle of the night. But in the more than half a year since he came to my house, I have never seen him sleepwalking.
I closed the door gently and walked back. I seemed to hear a strange sound coming to my ears from somewhere.
In order to prove that I was not dreaming, I pinched my thigh hard. The pain made me wake up instantly.
I didn’t dream or hear any hallucinations. There was indeed a faint sound coming from somewhere on the second floor.
"It can't be a ghost," I thought. The dark light made my hair suddenly explode, my scalp went numb, and my body shook involuntarily. The horror movie I just watched last night couldn't really be like that.
I had the urge to run away, go back to the bedroom downstairs, close the door and cover myself with the quilt.
"There is nothing illusory in the world... If there is, then there is God." I don't remember where I remembered this sentence. Thinking about this sentence made me feel a lot better. After all, I am still a human being. A kind-hearted and positive sixteen-year-old boy,
Just when I was thinking about what was making a subtle sound, the sound suddenly stopped. It was raining heavily outside. I wondered if I had heard it wrong. There was no sound at all.
I concentrated on walking slowly by the wall of my mother's bedroom, thinking that something was really coming to catch me, so I screamed at the top of my lungs, asking my mother to come out and save me.
"Hmm... um..." Suddenly, the voice came out again. As I approached my mother's bedroom door, the voice was louder than before.
Could it be coming from outside the balcony? When I came to the door of my mother's bedroom, the sound suddenly stopped again.
