Hi friends,
please calm down and pull yourselves together.
The fact that so many people are taking part in the discussion here speaks in favour of the story and the author.
Each of us is an individual and therefore has his/her own opinion and sees things as he/she sees them.
None of us can or should speak for another or impose our opinion on them.
Therefore, we do not have the right to judge whether a statement is correct or not.
I would like to emphasise that at this point!
If I may say something about the many speculations being made about the ending of this story,
I would point to the title of the story, because in that title also lies the answer to all the speculations.
The way I have come to appreciate and know the author Krish through his stories - and especially through
this story - he loves to incorporate mazes and many alleys into his stories, but he never leaves his main path.
From the first line to the end, you can tell that he did not favour the option of separation.
The fact that the author never mentally or emotionally separated them at any point reinforces this view.
Contrary to many opinions, I am not of the opinion that Meera and Krish have to find each other again, because
they have NEVER completely lost each other.
The question is rather whether they will find a way together in the end to draw on the strength of their love for
each other to banish all ‘rivals’ and ‘exploiters’ - like Desai - from their lives...
