The same ending again is boring and repetitive, even if they kick Desai out of their life...they might be lovey dovey for sometime and then the same insecurities will come back again and the story can go on and on like a loop when another Desai shows up. To begin a new story, the author must end this one with a separation...love isnt a fairy tale for anyone...separation isn't a failure of love, it's just knowing that you have grown out and seeking new horizon instead of being stuck in the same repeating pattern...
