Krish’s fantasies started with Meera and only she can change him, even if he finds another woman there is no guarantee he will not want to see her sleep with anyone who ogles at her.

If you see here, Couple are so blind that they do not see that the solution to their problem is right in front of them, Krish needs Meera saying no to stop his fantasies, at the same time Meera needs Krish to say no for her to stop going after Desai. That’s the secret they are not realizing that the key is with them to unlock their pain to happy path.

Meera clearly said in the last chapter:

“You're pushing me away because you're afraid! Afraid of losing control, afraid of facing your own insecurities!"

He has in his mind fixed himself to be incapable of curing his cuckold nature so he thinks even if they send Desai away there will be another Desai and at the same time, he believes Meera will be happy with Desai, combined both he is not ready to face the problem head on instead he is sacrificing everything. Though the solution is with Meera, imagine a scenario where Krish is pushing his wife on the train towards Jai, and if Meera gets angry and says no, would Krish be able to push it further? In fact, he would slowly forget he is a cuckold.

Same with Meera, she is attracted to Desai but if Krish can keep Desai away in his mind and not masturbate at every turn in his life and focus on her and their life, there won’t be a need for Desai in Meera’s life. Meera saw him jerking when she was with Desai in second bedroom, naturally she would think he is still same Krish and he is OK with her to be with Desai, this paths that they are taking is pushing them away, Their own insecurities and fantasies have caused this problem so only them together can solve it. 
Yes as you say there should be consequences but I think we have seen those until now, they are about to lose each other, what more consequences does one has to see it to realize that they have gone too far.
