As Balaji handed Gayu the cup of tea, he also turned to Elango and said, "Hey Elango, I made some extra tea for you too."
Elango smiled and took the cup of tea from Balaji. "Thanks, Balaji. You're a great host," he said with a nod.
As they stood there, sipping their tea, the atmosphere in the room felt a bit more relaxed. Gayu was grateful for the distraction, as it helped to break the tension that had been building between her and Elango.
But as they chatted and laughed together, Gayu couldn't help but notice the way Elango's eyes kept drifting back to her. She felt a flutter in her chest as she met his gaze, and she quickly looked away, trying to compose herself.
Balaji seemed oblivious to the undercurrents between his mother and Elango. He was chatting with them about his day at college, completely unaware of the sparks that were flying between them.
As they finished their tea, Elango set his cup down and said, "I should probably get going. I have some work to do tonight."
Gayu felt a pang of disappointment at the thought of Elango leaving. She didn't know why, but she had enjoyed having him around. "Okay...it was nice having you over," she said with a smile.
