Revisiting the chapter again...some questions that come up to my mind....

Does Meera and Desai really share a bond sans the sex? Desai admits that they are closest when they have sex, but what about Meera? She says there is nothing beyond sex....is it really?

She never said its just sex, she definitely has special place for Desai but its not love. Hoping we could better clarity in last part. If it was just sex then last 2 chapters went overboard with the bond and it doesn't make sense. My personal opinion as I said earlier, she got tempted by Desai and addicted to him as he is giving her what she has always wanted from Krish in bed. Sex with bond or intimacy or closeness whatever we want to name it, by seeking that intimacy she got closer to Desai than intended, hence the bond but its not unbreakable or devastating for her. Her comment on imagining waking with Desai and thinking about him that morning proves my theory, but there could be more, we don't know it yet.

The last scene in the chapter, the gestures from Desai....."Desai’s eyes met mine, and there was no warmth, no acknowledgment. He wasn’t here for me. His gaze immediately shifted beyond me".....Has Desai really changed? Or has this been a conquest for him ever since?

No, I still think he is only seeking Meera, True love means her happiness and not his own happiness.

Hope against hope....I wish Desai turns into this angel who actually works to re-unite Meera and Krish....which means he would have to walk away from the two, which is hard to imagine....but still....hope against hope....

That would be worst ending. Desai walking out will not solve the issue.
Meera and Krish needs to believe that they can start fresh and Desai should be out of their mind through realization.Desai sacrificing would be so out of character and illogical.

In upcoming part, Meera has large role to play..She needs to convince both Desai and Krish, what she needs as well as convince themselves what they truly are, whether its change in Krish or selfishness in Desai. If at all we are getting Desai and Meera ending there is not much to write here for author.
