The latest update was quite emotional, but I have some differing views. Let's start with the simplest one:
Nidhi's Portrayal: I was surprised by how Nidhi's behavior was depicted. I expected her to be more empathetic towards Krish, perhaps reading his mood before voicing her thoughts. Instead, it seemed like she was driven by lust, fantasizing about her own encounters with Desai through Krish's experiences with Meera and Desai, more like a voyeur than a friend. Krish, too, behaved oddly. Given his heartbreak, I anticipated he might have broken down during their conversation, helping Nidhi understand his pain, but that moment never came. At least, he managed to hold back at some point.
Now, onto my most crucial thought. I've been very critical of Meera and Desai while supportive of Krish in my previous posts. Although I hoped Krish and Meera would resolve their issues, I was losing faith with each episode until this last one, which significantly shifted my perspective:
Meera's Intentions: What if Meera genuinely loves Krish, and her affair with Desai is just a physical escape from what Krish lacks? Could it be that her expressions of love for Krish are sincere, and her time with Desai is merely fulfilling fantasies, nothing more?
Desai's Transformation: Similarly, what if Desai has truly changed? What if his declarations are heartfelt, with no intent to disrupt Krish and Meera's marriage? He might see Krish as someone who doesn't feel jealousy or insecure about his time with Meera, believing that sharing the truth about his and Meera's dalliance is not harmful. His talk of marriage and children with Meera might just be fantasies, not real intentions. Maybe he's learned from his past with Nidhi and wants to be genuine with both Krish and Meera.
Don't these possibilities entirely change my view?
However, Krish's actions towards Meera don't seem rational to me. His choice to separate might be justified, but his approach was flawed. He should have confronted Meera about her mistakes such as confessions to Desai about the train incident, how she feels suffocated with a thought that Krish is watching/spying over her, her behavioral changes at home like adding Paneer more frequently in their dish, casual flirtation with Desai in public, her secretive meetings with Desai, especially knowing Krish was aware of previous encounters. Instead of stopping there and giving them space to reflect, he's paradoxically pushing them together by asking them to go on a long vacation, inviting Desai on their anniversary, suggesting they share a bedroom. This doesn't show change in Krish; it rather confirms his cuckold tendencies are still present. He's not allowing Meera or Desai the chance to reflect, what they have caused to Krish, think and decide for themselves about the future.
Considering my new insights, if Meera truly loves Krish and only used Desai to fill gaps, and if Desai is indeed reformed, will Meera now fight for her love? Will Desai keep his promise not to interfere in Krish and Meera's life and patch things between them showing he is really changed man with big heart?
The cliffhanger on their anniversary night is poetic, mirroring the start of Meera and Desai's affair. This could be the perfect moment to conclude the chapter of mistrust and reignite true love between Krish and Meera - just them alone.
Krish_999 is a brilliant author. I hope for an ending that brings peace not only to the characters but also to the readers.
