There is no need for continuation, Just jump cut..

They talk each other.
"Both lived their own life happily, concluded on 'They are not repeating their past mistakes with their new lives'"
He already knows she is just pretending and she's not with Desai or with anyone.
She also figured it out by his appearance that he is also living alone.
