Its like out of the blue , Krish became this submissive man and obsessed about Meera and Desai screwing each other. I always envisioned that Krish would witness Meera and Desai having sex and after that vision , he will choose love over lust and try to win Meera back in anyway necessary. But the story took the opposite path and Krish has now reduced to a full on cuck and a repressed individual which has only hurt his character. Krish has become this repressed man that only wants to see Meera and Desai enjoy eachother and that has really ruined the character development of Krish.
In my opinion , this was by far the worst handling of a POV character especially in Part III. The more I read it , the more I feel like I cannot find justification and dynamic in Krish's character despite of him being a POV. In my eyes, this has ruined his character. I was always a fan of the man eventually finding his path but it seems this story doesn't want it and simply is waiting for the end ot the line when the author can create a shortcut and conveniently make the POV character get his happy ending. That doesn't feel like a happy ending to me.
To be honest, I know prefer the original ending even though I hated the idea of Krish reducing himself to a sick puppy to win back Meera. I always hated this kind of regressive characters. I really miss the Krish that manhandled Das and showed him his place. This Krish is just a sick no self respect and completely simping cuckold wimp who at this point is barking and moaning according to Meera's words.
Honestly at this point I don't want him to be with Meera anymore, because I know if they end up together , Krish will once again become Meera's slave and there is no pay off. The whole point of Meera's love for Krish is he is her obedient puppy while Krish's love for Meera is just that she is her queen and he should spend his life servicing her sitting at her feet.
The so called "Meera and Krish are a team" doesn't work anymore because now after all this chapters it just seems it is less teamwork and more about Krish being Meera's obedient lapdog. I hope atleast in the epilogue , Meera does the sensible thing and tell Krish that she doesn't like Krish being this repressed and she herself helps him becoming a better man.
Partially agree on Krish's character losing purpose from rewritten chapters and he needs to find his way back to prove it to Meera that Desai is not as good person as she is interpreting but beyond that I do not think Krish became a puppy or lapdog serving Meera at her feet. That interpretation is totally wrong.
When you write a cuckold story its apparent that husband is always a third person in the context because another main lead takes his place for temporary needs..though every one would like husband to regain and achieve redemption.Where i differ with you, Krish separating with Meera and ending on a high note whether with some other woman or financially is your representation of redemption but for me redemption is claiming back what truly belongs to him and show Desai that all his efforts for 48 chapters to take Meera away from him are all in vain. That's my hero moment for Krish than going into oblivion and ending with with some unknown female with whom we do not have any connection.
If Krish and Meera end up together then yes games might start again but this time since they defeated lust with love, their love will flourish. They can start a family and together make an effort to evolve beyond cuck nature and its complications.
