I would rather say, Esha has nothing to lose even without kunal or aditya. If she agree to marry Ankit, she will get a rich, manly and loving husband and she can still become mother of another child from her loving husband yet again. 

However, if she does that, Kunal will be blamed by society and Aditya will be cursed as divorce or bitch mother son by his friends. 

Even with new woman in kunal life, things will not change. 
Infact, no woman will come forward to marry kunal after knowing that Esha had slept with another man and divorced kunal because of him. These women will think only because kunal is a wimp, she looked out for another man. only the man will be blamed for the behavior of the wife.

Actually , Esha has something to lose. Society won't just blame Aditya or Kunal , it will also label Esha as a slut. Or by your own argument , a Gold Digger. That means if another man more capable comes in her life , she will throw away Aniket just like she threw Kunal. That scenario will make Esha nothing more than slutty Gold Digger and nothing else.

And you will be surprised to learn the complexity in women. There are women who would absolutely see a complete life and peace with a person like Kunal. If a women thinks something is wrong with a man who was abandoned by his wife who also abandoned her child as well , then that women fall under the same category of the recent woman in the famous Atul Subhash case.

So you're wrong. Esha has a lot to loose if she chooses Aniket over Kunal. And Kunal has no intention to leave Esha. He should simply gain his liberation and show her the flaw in her outlook.
