Chapter 21: Venkatesh Tries to Help Us
“Sir, I have an idea! I even discussed it with Meera and Arjun. How about Meera acting in the Tamil version with Arjun and Telugu Version with me? In that case Arjun won’t be dropped from the movie and his dream of becoming a star won’t be shattered?,” as Venkatesh said, Arjun and I looked at each other, “he is a nice guy, Meera,” as Arjun whispered, “yeah, Arjun,” I whispered. “What do you say, Sir? Let Meera act in the Tamil Version with Arjun and in the Telugu version with me. Like I said, in that case Arjun won’t be dropped from the movie and his dream of becoming a star won’t be shattered?,” as Venkatesh said again, trying to convince the Director, “Venkatesh, my hands are tied, I called Producer sir and he told me to Drop Arjun and go ahead with you and Meera, and if Meera does not agree, drop Meera and go ashed with a New heroine. He basically wants you to be the Hero, because he feels that he owes you a lot for saving him and his family,” the director said.
“Sir, I would like to drop from this movie and make way for Arjun, so that he would act with Meera, his Girlfriend,” as Venkatesh began saying, “Venkatesh!” as the Director exclaimed, “I will act in your next movie,” as Venkatesh began saying, “what if there is no next movie of mine? Come on Venkatesh, the Producer will not agree,” the director said. “Venkatesh, there is only one person who could convince the Producer and make him agree to your idea of having you play the Telugu Version and Arjun play the Tamil version,” as the director was saying, “who is that person, Sir? Tell me,” Venkatesh exclaimed. “Cameraman Sir! He is the only person the Producer trusts, in fact he is the one who introduced me to the Producer. If you can convince Cameraman Sir with your idea, he would definitely convince the Producer and you can act in Telugu Version and Arjun can act in Tamil Version,” as the Director sir, not just Venkatesh, but also Arjun and I, began to realise that the Cameraman was our last option.
“I have to help Arjun, Sir, because I have been through what he is going through and just like me he wants a big break and enter into the Film Industry and become rich and famous. I will go to Cameraman Sir’s house immediately and beg him to convince Producer Sir, and somehow or the other I will help Arjun and Meera act together in the Tamil Version, Sir,” as Venkatesh was telling the Director about helping us, Arjun and I began to develop a lot of respect for Venkatesh. “Alright Venkatesh, you go to Cameraman Sir’s house and let me know what he says,” as the Director said, “sure, Sir,” Venkatesh said. By the time he came out of the Smoking Zone, Arjun and I went away from the Smoking Zone and began walking towards the exit.
