Desai dying would cause the same problem, Krish would never be able to know whether Meera loved Desai . One way or the other Meera has to decide between 2 men, She should be given freedom and time to explore her feelings. It is ultimately her decision, I think she already has a fair idea about Desai having lived with him in her home when Krish was in the hospital, and from the way Krish neighbor's described them, it seems that they already had a good bond and share great chemistry. Meera's and Desai's love is at an early and passionate stage, only if she lived with Desai for a few months would she be able to make up her mind.  I doubt though that there would be a separation, Meera already committed sex with Desai, and even if she gets to know about Mathrei, I doubt that will force her to separate from Krish, an affair seems more likely.

An affair will be difficuilt to explore with Krish POV unless Krish ups his spygame and manages to spy them without their knowledge outside as well. Maybe his work in VSS (Vicky Security Service) can be helpful in uping his spy game. That being said , the only solution I see is a separation. And that separation should have an impact. Meera should have a reason to return to Krish. Krish improving his life is a better reason and that will take away the confusion in her mind. Desai is just the best flavor Meera had  , unlike Sekhar and Das and the other men. Desai is really impressive in sex so that is obviously the reason why she loves his company. Plus he is flirt and a romantic person which helps in her chemistry with him. Krish has none of that , the best part of Krish is his good man personality. His biggest flaw is his kinks and desperation. If Krish heals from him , Meera will have no problem choosing Krish over Desai. Which is why I believe Krish can still save his marriage but it is still upto him and his will to act and improve.
