Interruption

Just as the air between them thickened with desires, Riya's phone buzzed loudly, shattering the moment. Startled, she reached for it, glancing at the screen to see her mother’s name. “Oh no,” she murmured, her heart sinking as she realized the timing.


Shankar quickly caught her eye, signaling with his hands to keep quiet about where she was. He didn’t want her to reveal that she was with him, knowing the implications it could have. Riya nodded, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment and guilt.

“Okay, but be home soon. I need your help with dinner,” her mother said, slightly worried.


“Sure, I will. Love you!” Riya replied, quickly hanging up the call.


Before she could step away, Shankar gently pulled her back toward him, his hands resting on her waist. In an impulsive move, he cupped her breasts, his fingers gliding over the soft fabric of her shirt.


Riya gasped, her body reacting instinctively to his touch. “Shankar, we can’t—” she stammered, feeling a mix of desire and anxiety.

She sighed and lay back down. She planned to meet with Shankar again and looking forward to explore this new feeling together. She waited for dawn and hoped it would bring clarity with morning light.
