I figured it is a better plot in the beginning which will push them apart. Like Krish starting to feel insecure seeing their relationship grow before his eyes and then Maithrei enters the picture and Meera sees improvement in Krish as he gets to be happy with Maitrei which also results in Meera overcoming her own insecurity about Krish and not see him as a cuckold anymore. And then the separation happens and Meera finally realize how much Krish matters to her , and the similar thinking from Krish's side as he can only truly love one woman and that is Meera. I believe that scenario will work better because in that way , both the characters will improve parallel and have their happy ending in the end.

Based on current situation both will fight their worse fight in years for sure and I do not think they will stick to each other and if they do Desai won't be part of it, after this episode for Desai and Meera to be together Krish needs to leave Meera as now he knows she is emotionally involved with Desai or thrown out of the house by Meera as she now knows he is not changed much. Either way I do not see your scenario happening where they all live in same house, Krish stooping lower than this to live in that house while Desai and Meera are together sucks.
