The Pond Master-5
Next morning, we were enjoying some coffee on the veranda before riding
to work.
Meena was yet in a thoughtful mood, and her eyes were gazing
somewhere off in the distance, like she was remembering something.
"Nadir, that idea, the sharing stuff, I was wondering if you think I
am interested in older men, I mean some father replacement, if you
believe there is a psychological problem, and I search a father figure…"
she began.
I had to reply before it gets worse, I knew what was coming.
"No. Not really. Please don’t make everything so complicated. I mean this
is not the case, not at all.
But that feeling, watching him and watching you. That was more than
enough for me to fantasize, the story is so simple.
I guess I saw some moments, some special looks from him and you… and
dived into a rabbit hole of thoughts and ideas," I said, playing it cool.
Inside my heart was thudding in anticipation of where Meena was going
with this.
"Hmm," Meena looked thoughtful. "I'm not saying I'm not interested,
because I like him, but my looks? I don't think my looks had any other
meaning,” and after a short pause she added, “at least for sure not
intentionally,”.
My heart pounded hard at that. This was the second time she brought it up
on her own.
I noticed she was now starting to think about the possibility, I thought of my
proud Meena thinking of defiling herself with this stranger, older man and this
mademy chest burn and a pit burned in my stomach.
Did Meena truly consider it? Did she imagine herself with Jalal and
dreamed of physical contact with him.
I was almost afraid to answer her, if this was truly her broaching the
possibility.
"Oh, yes, but I think anybody could see it that way if he had observed
closely," I insisted, "your looks had a certain message, if I am not
mistaken, perhaps as you say, unconsciously,"
"And about his looks, I think he is just a man, and the voyeurism is a generalized,
male syndrome, if I may say so in your medical language, and like every other male,
he looks and eventually enjoys, this means but nothing more, "
Meena smiled and added, and, "now you think he likes or plans to begin some
adventure with me? Nonsense, ".
"Uh, yeah. I suppose so and I am sure that he loves to do it. If you were
ever okay with it, if you could ever enjoy it, then yes, I would want you to
do it, too.
But you're not into let that happen with him, are you?" with my
straight forward respond, I wanted to give Meena the opportunity to answer
me directly, but just her asking that was such a giant leap for mankind!
But she shook her head and got up to leave the room.
It was high time to go to work.
