Deepa took an auto and arrived at Ramen’s house.
Later, her phone rang. It was her maid, “Madam, sir has left for office work. He packed his things and said he’ll be back after a week.”
Deepa replied calmly, “I got his message too. Go to my wardrobe, take the bag with the dresses I bought with Sameer, and bring it to Usman’s hut. I have some rituals to attend to.”
At the hut, the rituals began:
• Guided Usman to the lavatory.
• Helped Usman bathe, her touch gentle but deliberate.
