CHAPTER - 11


Kavya is really angry and frustrated by the argument she had with Danish. The kitchen was like a mess she can’t take it anymore. Everything is falling apart for Kavya, Rahul being busy and is not able to fulfill her desires, the mess Danish create in the apartment, not getting a job.
As Rahul came home late in the evening, and Kavya didn’t come out of her room since morning. He noticed that kavya is upset and asked the reason and kavya explained everything with Rahul in detail like how Danish is created a lot of mess. She wants Rahul to go and tell Danish that it will not work like this as it’s a matter of respect. But Rahul is a very good friend of Danish and can’t say much to him regarding this topic.
On the other hand Danish is also not feeling good about it, Somewhere he knows kavya is right. And he felt kind of guilty after having an argument with kavya. But the damage has been done. He can’t take his words back now. He have hurt Kavy.
Few weeks passed like this, Kavya and Danish are not talking to each other. They both are pretending like they don’t know each other. And both of them avoiding each other. Rahul also didn’t bother to solve the problem between them, he was just really busy with his own shit. But deep down kavy’s frustration increasing day by day, she feel lonely, she feel unfulfill. She even think of going to her parents house for few days but did not go.
One day Rahul and Kavya were talking in the kitchen regarding kavya’s job.
Kavya :- Rahul, I’ve been searching for a job for months now. Every day feels like a never-ending cycle of rejections and missed opportunities.
Rahul :- I know, Kavya. I’m sorry. I’ve tried reaching out to my contacts, but no one seems to have any openings right now.
Kavya :- It’s just so frustrating. I feel like I’m running out of options. If only I had a solid referral or something...
Rahul :- I wish I could do more. I just don’t have the connections at the moment. Maybe we could look into other ways to find opportunities.
Kavya :- I guess. I’m just so tired of waiting and hoping. I thought by now I’d have something lined up.
DANISH is working on his laptop, the screen casting a soft glow on his face. The muffled conversation between Kavya and Rahul drifts into his room. Danish’s ears perk up as he listens intently.
Danish thought of helping out Kavya to find a job. As he was also feeling guilty about the argument he had with Kavya. So he called some of his friends who are working in the same domain and manage to find something for her. But he couldn’t ask Kavya directly to send her resume to him. So he talked to Rahul and told him to send Kavya’s resume. Rahul was happy about Kavya and he thanked Danish for the help. Rahul sent the resume to Danish and he forwarded it to his friends.
After a week passed Kavya got a call from a MNC for an interview. She got really happy and she told everything to Rahul. Rahul didn’t tell her that Danish helped her in scheduling the interview as Danish told Rahul to not to tell Kavya. Rahul congratulated her for the job interview. As Kavya got this news she was feeling very happy and it made her cheerful again.
Now it’s a big day for kavya as she is going for an interview. She booked a cab for herself and went for the interview. Kavya has a charming personality which helped her in an interview quite a bit. She knows how to speak and what to speak and her technical knowledge is also somewhat good. She came back home after an interview and was waiting for the result. After 2-3 days she got a call from HR and she got selected.
She called Rahul and told him everything and she was very happy and she told Rahul that can he come early today she wanna go out to celebrate. Rahul said sure he will be there around 6 PM in the evening.
They both went out for dinner in the evening in a fine dine restraunt, Kavya was looking really beautiful in a one piece dress till her knew length. As they were having dinner and kavya is talking about the interview with Rahul. Rahul wanted to tell her everything coz he don’t want Danish and Kavya fighting with each other. So finally he tell Kavya everything that how Danish arranged the interview by calling some of his close friends. Kavya felt a bit surprised coz she has no idea about it. And she did not think that Danish will help her after the heated argument they had on that day.
On they way back home, Kavya is thinking about the argument she had with Danish and she is also feeling kind off guilty now. They both reached home and Rahul tell Kavya to go and he will be back as he is giving money to the cab driver. Kavya straight went up to the apartment.
The front door creaks open as KAVYA, dressed in a one-piece dress that clings elegantly to her figure, steps inside the dimly lit apartment. Her high-heeled sandals make soft clicks on the tiled floor. She carries a small clutch in her hand, and her eyes, though tired from a long day, are still bright with the remnants of the evening's excitement.
The warmth of the apartment contrasts with the cool night air she left behind. The faint aroma of dinner still lingers, mingling with the scent of her floral perfume. She closes the door behind her with a gentle click and lets out a sigh of relief.
Kavya’s gaze sweeps across the living room. The soft glow of a table lamp casts a warm light over the space, highlighting the neatly arranged cushions on the couch and the polished surface of the coffee table. It’s cozy, a stark contrast to the bustling city outside.
As Kavya takes a few steps forward, her eyes catch a movement from the hallway leading to the washroom. DANISH, is emerging from his room. He’s wearing a simple tank top and shorts, his attire casual and relaxed. His hair is slightly tousled, as if he’s just woken up or finished a day’s work at home.
Their eyes meet in a brief, charged moment. Danish’s eyes widen slightly, and a flicker of surprise and something deeper crosses his face. He can't help but take in every detail of Kavya. The light fabric of her dress, hugs her figure gracefully. The dress’s sleeveless design accentuates her shoulders and arms, and the hemline falls just above her knees, revealing slender legs and a pair of sleek, high-heeled sandals.
Danish's gaze follows the way her hair falls around her face, catching the light in a glossy sheen. Her makeup is subtly done, enhancing her features without overpowering them. The soft floral perfume she wears seems almost tangible, mingling with the scent of the apartment. His eyes trace the outline of her dress, noting the delicate way it moves with her as she shifts her weight.
He takes in the way her dress cinches at the waist, highlighting her figure in a flattering silhouette. The print of the dress, playful and vibrant, contrasts with the simplicity of his own attire. Danish’s eyes travel from the elegant curve of her neckline to the modest cut of her hemline, and he can't help but appreciate how her overall look stands out against the backdrop of the living room.
Danish shifts uncomfortably, a mix of surprise and something deeper flickering in his eyes. He looks away briefly, then back at Kavya, as if trying to reconcile the unexpected encounter. His eyes continue to wander, taking in the full effect of her appearance.
Without saying a word, Danish clears his throat and turns toward the washroom. His movements are hurried, and he barely makes eye contact with Kavya again as he steps into the small hallway.
Kavya went to her room and was feeling a bit guilty about the argument she had with Danish. She laid down on the bed and closed her eyes and the incident she had with Danish at night near the washroom flashes her mind and her breath got heavy and she opened her eyes and saw Rahul came inside the room.
