As Gayatri reached the living room, she couldn't help but notice that her saree and blouse were wet, revealing her bra line. She felt a flush of embarrassment and quickly adjusted her clothing, trying to cover herself up. She glanced around the room, but Elango was already in the living room, placing the clothes on a drying rack.
(Gayatri: (thought) I'm so embarrassed. I can't believe I got myself into this situation.)
Elango looked up and noticed Gayatri entering the room, her saree and blouse still damp. He smiled and said, "Ah, looks like we both got a little wet out there."
Gayatri forced a smile, feeling self-conscious about her wet clothing. "Yes, the drizzle was quite unexpected," she replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
Elango walked over to the drying rack and began sorting the clothes. "I'll get these dried out for you. They should be ready by tomorrow."
Gayatri watched him work, feeling a pang of gratitude for his help. She realized that she had been too hard on herself, thinking impure thoughts about him. He was just a friend, after all.
(Gayatri: (thought) I was wrong to think like that. Elango is just a friend. He's always been kind and helpful to me.)
As they worked together, Gayatri couldn't help but notice the way Elango's eyes would occasionally glance at her. She felt a flutter in her stomach, but she pushed the thought aside. She needed to focus on being friends and not let her thoughts get the best of her.
(Gayatri: (thought) I need to stay focused. We're just friends, and I need to keep it that way.)
Balaji, who was still watching TV, called out, "Hey, Elango, can you grab me a glass of water from the kitchen?"
Elango nodded and headed to the kitchen. Gayatri took the opportunity to gather her thoughts and regain her composure. She reminded herself that Elango was just a friend and that she needed to be careful around him.
(Gayatri: (thought) I need to be careful. I can't let my thoughts get the best of me. I need to stay focused and remember that Elango is just a friend.)
As they continued to work together, Gayatri found herself feeling more at ease. She realized that she had been too hard on herself and that Elango was just being a good friend. She decided to let go of her worries and enjoy the moment.
(Gayatri: (thought) I'm going to let go of my worries and enjoy this moment. Elango is just a friend, and I need to appreciate his kindness and help.)
As they finished drying the clothes, Gayatri smiled at Elango and said, "Thank you so much for your help today. I really appreciate it."
Elango smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Anytime, Gayatri. We're friends, right?"
Gayatri felt a warmth in her heart at his words. "Yes, we are," she replied, feeling grateful for his friendship.
