The guy in the t-shirt was optimistic. "So, she's available? And you don't care? I don't wanna be a dick and step on your turf, man." 


"Thanks, but you can go ahead. She's definitely available. Warning though, she's a little picky. And she never lets strangers even get to second base. I mean, I've known her forever, and she just pushed me away," Spencer chuckled. The man in the Aquaman shirt stroked his beard stubble and stepped into the middle with the beautiful blonde. Spencer watched as his mom gave a flirty, "Hello, there." 



Breanna danced closely to the stranger but did not touch him. She did not plant herself against him as she did with her son. Breanna and the stranger danced facing each other for the length of a song. There were times when Breanna turned around momentarily, but she never made contact. 



Spencer knew that all the guy needed to do was have the courage to touch her in some remotely intimate way, just as the black man at the cocktail party had touched the small of her back. Since Breanna did not make the move to dance with him, the stubble-faced man walked back to his friends in defeat. 


His friends chided him. Breanna casually looked over at the defeated man. She motioned to the trapped pole in his khaki shorts. She then shrugged and said loudly enough for all of the men to hear, "It's a shame.
