To me, she is more like a love and attention deprived lady, with a severe lack of self-respect and confidence due to her own actions, fuelled by her own weakness, and Mohan taking her for granted. Also, her state of mind when she falls for Vikram, is not something rare, and may be something many women face in long term marriage. Bhavani may be a weak-willed, with a hidden submissive nature, but not necessarily cheap or cock-crazed whore. Not an excuse, just a different viewpoint.
