I was reading in a confused state of mind, not understanding why she was behaving like that suddenly..
finally revealed those molesting scenes, but the actual thrill is missing...
I think you have to make anther version of story explaining both sides at same time lapse, than as flashback..

You said it right. It would have been more clearer for readers. But here, the story was said by the Husband and if he was to reveal everything in real time, then it would be like he is participating and witnessing everything. The few bits and pieces of flashback were to be revealed by the wife. Also, the blanks and spaces leaves some questions and suspense in reader's mind generating curiosity, which again is nice in a way. The readers who were involved in reading the story would be able to easily connect the pieces and get a whole picture.
