Marrying cousins was a normal thing among Hindus in South India, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, more predominantly in our part of the Villages bordering Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Though there was water issue between our village which fell on the Tamil Nadu side and the village which fell on the Andhra Pradesh side, but they were all sorted out promptly at the Amman Temple/Ammoru Temple which was right in the middle of and Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu border, which us the Tamil Nadu part of the village called it Amman Temple and the people from the Andhra Pradesh part of the village called it Ammoru Temple, and the issues were sorted out promptly at the Amman/Ammoru Temple by the Temple Priest named Satyanarayana Deekshitulu, whose words both our Village Leaders and Village Leaders from Andhra Pradesh obeyed like a command.
