Malliga Ma'am’s moments with the Politicians were a treat to watch for us.  Most of the Teachers in our college, including our Principal were either from the DMK Party or the ADMK Party, therefore they never attended the Communist Party meetings to talk about the grievances of the Farmers, but Malliga Ma'am was different from them, and she boldly attended the Communist Party Meetings.  During those meetings, there were a lot of Communist Party leaders who came from North India in support of our Farmers.  As most of the uneducated, the rogues, the Caste leaders, the '.s Leaders, and the Criminals ended up in the Congress Party in North India, as they all wanted Power in the ruling Party; All the well-educated, teachers and Professors ended up in the Communist Party in North India.  Every time there was a Farmers issue in our Village, our village Communist leaders used to arrange a meeting where the Communist leaders used to come from North India and speak to the people on stage.  Since our people did not understand Hindi, including Malliga Ma'am, the leaders from the North used to speak in English and standing beside them Malliga Ma'am used to translate to the people in Tamil.  The leaders from the North used to be more than impressed with Malliga Ma'am, and after that came the fun part for me and my friends.  After the meeting was over, in the back stage, the leaders from the North, in the name of appreciating Malliga Ma'am, used to hug Malliga Ma'am and feel her up nicely.
