He did not see Ruby in the hall. So he slowly walked towards the kitchen and saw her there picking the plates and glasses. Not knowing if it was her sending the texts and not wanting to be embarrassed, he just sat at the table.
"It is working..it is working" the animal said and that brought out a smile. Ruby checked if Sid can see her and after making sure he cannot, adjusted her blouse to put more of her assets on display.
Ruby made Sid wait on purpose longer than needed for her to clean the utensils and serve food in them. "The longer the wait, the more sweet it will be" She heard the line in some movie. Ruby slowly walked into the main room, put the food on the table and started cleaning, rather pretend to clean the edges of the table. She kept a very straight face and of course was bending a bit more than needed.
She could make out from the corners of her eyes that Sid is dying to steal glances at her cleavage.
She then moved to the kitchen and started cleaning there. She wanted to see to check her cleavage out, would Sid move from where he was seated to the couch and get a better view.
She was disappointed when Sid did not move to the couch. "Patience Baby, patience", the sane one said.
After a few minutes, she got frustrated and was about to move back to the hall to try something else to entice Sid, when she heard a loud thud and a cry of pain. She immediately ran into the hall and saw Sid on the floor.
He was in immense pain. Ruby wasn't sure how he fell. She immediately ran to him and pulled him up by holding his right hand. Once he was on his feet, she made him put his left arm around her neck onto her shoulder and she held around his waist with her right hand and slowly started walking towards the bedroom.
She helped him lie down on the bed and noticed tears rolling down his cheeks. He was indeed in a lot of pain. Ruby felt so bad for what she had done. After Sid settled on the bed, she pulled up a chair and sat next t the bed. Sid did not want to see her face and so looked away from her.
Ruby sat there without saying a word for a minute. she then spoke in a very low voice.
"Sid, I have never hurt anyone knowingly in my life. I cannot live with the thought that I am directly responsible for your misery. I know what I have done is something that cannot be forgiven."
She paused and noticed that Sid was paying attention.
Before she could say something else, Sid responded, "Please leave me. I don't want to talk to you or see you. Let me be." wiping the tears off his cheeks.
Ruby contemplated the situation and realized if she leaves, there is no way Sid will forgive her ever again. He might go back to being normal after the physical wounds heal but it will not be the same between them again.
She bent forward and took his left hand in her hands and pulled it gently to make him turn towards her. He resisted at first but then turned towards her. He pallu had dropped and by the time he looked at her, Ruby had lifted it to cover her cleavage. Sid noticed that and Ruby noticed him noticing that.
"What I did was not intentional Sid. I did not know those two were this dangerous."
Before she could say anything, Sid tried turning his head away and so Ruby had to hold it tighter and ended up causing pain.
Sid groaned, 'Ahhh' and Ruby said, "I am sorry, I am sorry" and bent forward. Her pallu slid a bit and Sid noticed it and stayed in that position facing Ruby.
"Now you know how to get his attention." said the sane one.
So Ruby "accidentally" lowered her shoulder a bit so that her pallu will slowly drop. Sid was staring at it and did not turn his face away.
