We never know , he might have had conversation with Piyush. Anyways i feel like the women is Maitreyi and he is planning something big obviously using Krish's insecurity. Why would he come to Krish and mention that he forgot his purse if he has to go to other room and have sex? He could go directly to that room and do it and Krish might not have known. Its his plan to make Krish suspicious and hence he went to meet Krish and kept his door open. He wants Krish to suspect Meera and question her where she would deny it and Krish won't believe there by causing the rift he wants and maybe to spite him Meera might actually have sex now with Desai.

Desai could benefit from this... but it could backfire on him.
