I am very much relieved on hearing from horse’s mouth that the opinions of readers do not decide the course of the story. In other words, I am free to publish my comments without fearing for any allegation of influencing the writer. Normally I comment on the characterization of the character, their behaviours at a given point under external or internal stimulative forces. A gifted author like Krish should not be disturbed.

Presently, some readers are disturbed with anticipated pregnancy of Meera by Desai. I thought of going down the lane with Meera’s probable pregnancy and thereafter.
No contraceptive in the world is 100% safe. Medical instances are available to confirm the failures of contraceptives. Even, considering the fact that Meera would be sincere in taking pills on time on every occasions, there could be unfortunate instance she gets pregnant, may be unwillingly.
The story has been declared as cuckold generic. Krish has not shown any determined indication to stop cuckolding except for once last moment futile return from medical practitioner. Unless he gets a strong psychological trauma, he may not think otherwise.
Meera, on her behalf, has never seriously engaged Krish to overcome cuckolding. Whatever be her motive, she is definitely, not a well-wisher of Krish. Also she is enjoying her alliances with Desai. (I refrain from indicating love of Meera to Desai on purpose not to initiate series of arguments).
So, Krish will continue to cherish sharing Meera with Desai and Meera will continue to bloom with Desai under slightest pretext. Definitely, this can’t continue forever. The breakthrough can come through elimination (read vacation of Desai from couple’s life) of Desai which is not likely to happen. Even with departure of Desai, another intruder in form of Desai would be introduced in couple’s life. Same story would continue.
Among many other possibilities, one possible breakthrough may be Meera’s pregnancy by Desai.
In that event, Meera would be definite of fatherhood. Krish also would be certain of paternity of the child. Deasi can only guess.
Meera has few options on her pregnancy and she has to take a final call.
1. She can walk out with Desai with or without divorce to continue pregnancy.
2. She can ask for Krish’s opinion about the future of her pregnancy.
3. She can go for MTP. (Medical Termination of Pregnancy). I am not thinking of miscarriage.
Seeing the trend of the story, 1st option not likely to occur. In affirmation, Krish would be devastated, but the story ends. Krish may be permanently cured of cuckolding.
Meera can straightway go for 3rd option, without bothering to inform anybody. Even the other two may not have any knowledge of her pregnancy, if she desires so. The cuckolding game continues non-abetted.
The 2nd option would be interesting. Though Krish would be devastated, he has to take a call. Meera may not oblige Krish, but he would be forced to share his thoughts. Will he recommend for MTP or allow Meera to continue pregnancy? Or will he suggest Meera a life with Desai.
Whatever be the decision, it would be end of his cuckoldry.
A few readers may argue for a very remote 4th option of three jointly making a happy family. I am not in favour as Desai will never agree. He is very very possessive.
It would be great pleasure to see the assumptions in reality.
