To all the readers in favour of devine love of Krish -Meera
I was summarising the good qualities of Desai.
He is a successful man in every sphere of life.
He is intelligent.
He is sincere and dedicated to his goal.
He is ready to sacrifice anything for his love, even his reputation.
He is ready for any actions to fulfill his love, even wrongful, immoral manipulation in his favour. He believes in 'Anything is fair in love and war'.
And many more.
Meera is a victim of wrong arranged marriage. She finds herself in a pathetic relationship with a husband who does not value her womanhood.
As can be seen from her early inclination to sex, possibly she was not satisfied with her sexual life. She has high appetite for sex. Also quite possible that she was not that much emotionally attached to Krish as claimed by Krish. We all know, women are very apt in faking their emotions and sacrifices for the sake of family. In the absence of Meera POV we have really no exact details of her emotional attachment towords marital relationship. Given by the circumstantial evidences, it's clear that she doesn't love Krish. Also she is not an orthodox to adhere to old values of marriage. Understanding Krish's cuckold mentality, rightfully she would be interested in finding a better soulmate.
Contrary to Krish, Meera has many good qualities.
Apart from beauty and intellectual qualities, she is dilligent and committed to her professional life. She is hardworking. She is a successful enterpreuner.
Over time period, Meera finds Desai is more commited to her. She is able to transform Desai to a level of a good human. Desai is ready to sacrifice anything for her. He had quit smoking on her demand. From a womaniser, he has transformed himself to a commited one woman. He truly values Meera's respect. He not only adorns her but also worship her. From Meera's POV, Desai is a transformed person and committed to her. The most rewarding point is Desai changed by her and only for her.
From the very beginning, Desai is clear in his intentions. He is committed to get Meera in his life. He has clearly expressed his desire to be Meera's life partner.
While many readers are against this outcome, I wonder why?
Desai deserves Meera more than Krish. He outwits Krish in each and every aspect except his physical outlook.
Meera deserves a better life which she can enjoy with Desai. Why she has to sacrifice her future life for Krish while Krish does not posses any good husband qualities? Why Meera has to suffer from a bad marriage?
Why we readers don't favour Desai marrying Meera in a jovial, mutually beneficial, permanent relationship? What's wrong with Desai not to get reader's emotional supports?
Just think, Desai changed himself for goodness of Meera in contrast to Krish' wherein he is pushing Meera only to darkness. The only drawback of Desai is he is ugly. Otherwise, he deserves Meera more than Krish. As good human, Krish has lot of interesting positive qualities. But as husband, his negative attributes outwits positive qualities. Obviously he is a big failure not only as husband but also he is a failure in his professional life. As husband, Krish could not provide his wife satisfying emotional and physical support. Even, he was not able to support her financially. It is not surprising that Meera couldn't love him. Why Meera has to continue to love someone who is her husband by chance and does not support her emotionally for healthy future life? Why Desai - Meera can't tie the knot when both ot them love each other?
Readers, should not be blind emotionally.
Personally, I am not in favour of Meera keeping Krish into darkness. Though she has indicated many a times to Krish that, she is afraid, he may loose her permanently. Only, she could show proper humanity! I support and encourage her seperation.
