Bon Voyage!
As usual a great erotica. Beautiful presentation. No complaint on this front. In a good story, there are something beyond erotica, i.e. the storyline and character build-up. How the conjugal marital relationship between Meera and Krish proceeds from here should be interesting, keeping the basic characters of the protagonists tuned unchanged.
I believe, formation of basic characteristic of any person is complete by the time he reaches adulthood. Education, experiences and intelligence helps him to achieve his goals utilizing opportunities. Within the atmosphere of socio-economic and political considerations, risk management capabilities evaluated within self for favourable decisions.
I expected something more. I did expect Meera shifting to Desai temporarily. This should be coming based on the developments. Question is who takes the initiative? Meera or Krish? Probably Krish should make it to happen. Again why Krish and not Meera?
What transpired between Meera and Desai behind closed doors is important, beyond sexual unison. I won’t be interested in the description of their passion of flesh. A lot has already been described vividly and more would be repetition only. Importance is the process of Meera’s calculation of taking the risk of leaving Krish.
Susheel Desai:
A woman is made of flesh which is best utilized be cherishing. Especially if she is married, pleasure is magnified. Great satisfaction of ego by defeating the husband. Conquer the woman and destroy the man. The only utilization of her mind is for manipulation only in his favour. He does not believe in long term relationship and there are no reasons for him to deviate. Any deviation of this line of action implies his incapability of controlling the situations in his favour. If, at all, any change is noticed in his character, it is temporary in nature, curbed and restrained under external factors beyond his control.
So, Meera would lose his attention on either by total destruction of Meera-Krish relationship or his fall (financial / physical/social etc). The earliest Meera understands this, it’s better for her. Otherwise, she may have to pay a heavy price.
Meera:
As I have pointed out earlier that Meera’s love is questionable. Rather, to be specific, she does not love Krish. What is the form of love? It is a state of mental infatuation which motivates a person to sacrifice. There are not a single incident I could remember about Meera’s sacrifice. Meera is expected to look after wellbeing’s of Krish as an expression of love. Without any prejudice to cuckoldry nature Krish (Establishing Cuckoldry of Krish is subject to long analysis) Meera has not taken any steps to rectify the same.
Within established love relationship, cuckoldry is mutually beneficial and planned in advance not to cross the mutually accepted boundaries. We have not come across on any mutual discussion between Meera-Krish on fixing the boundaries within their acceptable limits. The extra marital affairs of Meera is self-imposed for reaching her own goals. There is no component of satisfying Krish. First time Meera’s involvement (within our knowledge) thwarted by Krish had no cuckoldary component. It was her inherent character.
She was brutally exposed about her love on that fateful day, after demonstrating her nasty slutty behavior with Das. You can never push your love to apparent death and forgetting him completely. No amount of anger can keep you aloof and distant. This is acceptable if and only if 'LOVE' does not exist. This is acceptable only when, “the life and death of that person” does not bother you.
What Meera did?
Finding your loved one with another woman, you decided to celebrate sexually with another unknown man. It can be an expression of despair or revenge but definitely not ‘Love’. I could attribute it as 'jealousy' if she would not have made a painful vulgar show with Das a few days back. Where is your commitment of wellbeing for the loved one?
If Krish’s cuckoldry would have been a real matter of concern for Meera, she would have tried to find a solution either through a dialogue or medical help. We have not witnessed such efforts on behalf of Meera. We have observed Meera humiliating Krish on such occasions either verbally or through gestures. For her it was important to ensure that he had sagged. But never tried to understand his inner feelings.
If she was not a willing partner, she could have stopped the proceedings at any time on her account. She was never physically or psychologically tortured by Krish to accept or reject anything. She definitely knew it. She never obtained Krish’s permission to change a job. She knew that she was independent on her personal front without any liability of Krish. Krish had given her that freedom.
Without deliberating more incidents to establish her character, let’s come to current. Meera is definitely a sex maniac. But was it the only reason for her changing sex partners?
She accepted vermilion from Desai. Vermilion in Indian culture signifies a lot. Meera believes in vermilion culture and knowing the consequences participated willingly. She does nothing to please Krish. She did it for her own satisfaction.
Next we see Meera asking for her misplaced brassiere openly. She could have inquired with both men in isolation! Not stopping there, she removed her panty, as a show off to exchange with Desai. What a level of indecency! She established her cheapness. By sleeping with multiple men on flimsy reasons, she has already proved herself a whore. By this activity, she established herself of her level as a whore.
Meera knows her own character. While sleeping with multiple men, she tries to find her safe heaven. She is not a person of taking non-calculated risk. She played her own game with Krish based on perceived inputs as processed in her brain. She wanted to see Krish as cuckold and worked accordingly to establish him as cuckold as the same very well suited her to accomplish. She stayed married with Krish under compulsion.
I don’t blame Meera entirely for this mess within marital relationship. Adultery is always thrilling and enjoyable. More so when it is kept secret. The basic human nature is get attracted to anything debarred by law or established social norm. And variation and freedom from monotony. Obviously Meera was thrilled on possible sexual liaison outside marriage, which she was forced to abandon. Naturally, she must have been depressed and obsessed over it. Initially, she was afraid of being caught. But she could not overcome her desire. She was looking for possible sources. Being a working lady, she had plenty opportunities to get admired on her beauty and must have received quite a few proposals. Finding a suitable willing partner is never a problem for a beauty anywhere in the world.
Within conducive atmosphere, her only bottleneck was Krish. She diverted her attention to Krish to discover his conflicting behavior. She construed his confliction as cuckoldry and decided to utilize in her favourable way relish both side of life, marital as well as adultery.
Adultery is addiction and she drowned into excitement. Instead of stopping and put it to an end, Krish on unknown reasons continuously fuelled. Meera continued changing partners with positive signal from Krish.
Not necessarily, Meera enjoyed the liaison with all her paramours. She must have been tired of Kris’s conflicting character. She needed assurance for future in her life. I think, she was in search for a better man whom she could depend and possibility marry for future settlement. Shekhar’s accident was setback for her. She discovered the dark side of Das on that fateful day, the day Das came to know Krish-Meera real relationship. Das got carried away by influence of Meera, which Meera took as negative. Meera concluded Das’s candidature not suitable for her future mission.
Now, it is time for her to take risk and leap forward. Once she had missed the golden opportunity by sudden death of Shekhar. She is careful this time. After vermilion incident and further progress down the line to her favour, she would naturally be interested to move out with Desai. Provided, nothing spectacular happened behind the door. Hope, Desai is not fully satisfied with his ego of Meera-Krish destruction or he is not crushed by destiny.
Other option could be, Meera regains her practical intelligence, though chances are very little.
Krish:
We are listening the story through krish. Normally a person is true to his thought process in his memory. So, beyond doubt, we are familiar with his weakness and strength. We have pretty idea about his passion and love.
But, if he is not opening up completely? I mean, the writer Krish keep some vital information under safe lock, then what happens?
I am of the opinion that, Krish is not absolutely true to his mind. He is hiding something, something author Krish has kept for final blow.
First time, accidentally, Krish discovered Meera’s character aberration towards adultery, he actively managed to thwart the incident. He managed to put a full stop. We have never seen him doing the same whole heartedly. On each and every incident of his wife’s adultery, he was pained. He also half-heartedly tried to block some. Many a times, he could put a break, but due to unknown reasons, he accepted his defeat. He also made arrangement (Either actively or passively) for Meera in her search for a paramour.
Meera started looking at him as a cuckold and Krish fuelled her imagination. But why?
We have seen Krish did never enjoy Meera’s involvement with other men. But he never objected vociferously, which is construed as his weakness and cuckoldry. Is Krish is a cuckold? One way he is getting sexual gratification out of Meera’s adultery. But he feels pain and most probably thinking to find out a reason for Meera’s such behavior. Krish created opportunity and Meera willingly grabbed opportunity. Even in certain cases, Meera created opportunity single handedly and executed which was discovered by Krish circumstantially. But why Krish created the opportunities for Meera’s adultery only to be pained aftermath? Why Krish’s behavior is so conflicting?
To search for above, let’s summarize a few aspects:
1. Krish is physically active and contrary to some claims, he capable of making his sex partners satisfied. Some failures with Meera need not be taken as proof of his incapability. On every occasions, no man in this world can always give a woman orgasm. This is basic biological facts.
2. Like most normal men, Krish is naturally attracted to fairer sex. Though sometimes he is carried away with flow, he enjoys some will power to overcome lust.
3. On work front, he is not an achiever. To some extent he lethargic. Also he is not cleaver enough in manipulation.
4. He is greedy on lucrative lavish lifestyle, without earning the same.
5. He is alcoholic.
6. He possess a commanding humanitarian characteristics. He does never misuse on other’s weaknesses.
7. He believes and honors other’s freedom and secrecy.
8. He is to some extent introvert and expects others (Including his wife) to understand him.
9. He cares for love and attention.
10. He lacks the capability of expressing ‘NO’ even though he understands, in fear of offending the opponent. Due to this, with full knowledge, he is manipulated easily.
What could be possible reasons for conflicting behavious of Krish?
First: Cuckoldry
Yes, he could be partly cuckold as per mass belief. Getting excited sexually by observing your wife in sexual acts need not be a proven characteristic of a cuckold. As a reference, I had some discussion over this topic while writting “The Unwanted Houseguest – A tribute”. Cuckoldry is mutual and willing. Neither Meera’s adultery is mutual nor did Krish force Meera in that. A cuckold derives sexual pleasure from sexual liaison of his partnerwith others. Contrary, we observe Krish is in mantal pain.
I am not in favour much on Krish’s cuckoldry.
Second: Blind Love
Krish loves Meera too much. His love for Meera (in other terms infatuation) in such a level that he is ready for any sacrifice. Krish wants his love to be happy and ready to fulfill her dreams at any cost. He understands the cause of his mental pain, knows the antidote, but refrains from utilizing. He sincerely expects Meera to understand his pain and mold herself in his favour. He does not want to apply force; even dislike to express his true mind to Meera. He prefers to suffer in isolation only with hope of Meera understanding him of her own.
He bestows blind belief on Meera. He wants Meera to stop her adulterous life and came back to him leving behind her past. But he is too reserved in expressing his desire. In the absence of definite ‘NO’ Meera considers him as cuckold. Krish knows this wrong but fails to deny in fear of hurting Meera.
I am not in much favour on this considering his extramarital affair. The infatuation or so called ‘Love’ normally becomes so strong that person’s behavior become abnormal. The sacrifice prevents him from establishing any kind of sexual liaison with any woman other than his partner.
Third: Family Planning
Through marriage we try to find a companion, a bonding based on mutual trust and respect. A relationship to propagate. While a mother is almost certain about her child’s father, a father has to rely on various aspects. Modern DNA findings can establish fatherhood. The process is associated with acute mental agony. The very reason of DNA testing itself is painful. Loss of trust and faithfulness to your loved one is primarily involved. The enjoyment of becoming father starts with the missing periods of your wife. With fractured trust, you become skeptical. The agony you carry with you on every moment while your wife pass through the gestation period is beyond describable.
Definitely, Krish would like to establish his trust over Meera. Krish has already discovered Meera’s vulnerability. He wants to establish boundaries. He knows, a person is best analyzed by his behavior when he is alone. He knows, Meera can’t be trusted on loyalty and so he needs approval within himself. A sincere approval for propagation through Meera.
Nobody in this world is perfect. A compromise is essential in a relationship. There is always someone exists who is better than your partner in some characteristics. And if you continue changing your partner constantly on that aspect, the institution marriage breaks. It’s a chain reaction without any visible end. Krish knows about this. Meera once left him on flimsy ground. Repetition is though not welcome but not impossible. Krish knows, Meera is capable of such blunder.
For learning swimming you need to be in water. There are chances for you drowning. You need to take risk. To establish trust in a person, you need to examine that person in untrusted environment. There are risk but there may not be other established options.
I think Krish is on the mission of establishing himself to regain his trust over Meera. Once he was proud of saying that Meera never lies him. His belief has shaken. He needs proof before thinking of further life with Meera.
Fourth:
Could there be any other reasons? I lack imagination. Someone may help.
_______________
So, what next?
After Meera’s vermilion and suhagraat episode, Krish should encourage Meera to move out with Desai. He has nothing to lose extra. Meera need to introspect. Meera need to understand the value of mutual trust and respect. Adjustment is the buzz word for marital concord. She will do so, only when she would be compelled to do so.
Krish also need to introspect in details. Remaining aloof within the lucrative world is ideal, but difficult to achieve when things are achievable without being caught. Loss and gain are two mutually inter-related words, where one does not exist when the other not. Ultimately the summation is a big zero. He need to understand his own boundaries and certainly answerable for not clarifying his stand. He has shown remarkable control over his sexual passion and lust. At the same time we have observed his weakness also. That is life and Meera needs an explanation.
Are we really interested in reconciliation? Meera and Krish need to walk a lot in separation with open mind accepting their personal weakness and perceived agenda. The camouflage need first to be removed. Both should be ready for sacrifice and adjustment.
I am trying my best to establish a working formula to justify the title name of the story. A fitting source within the established behavior of the characters in a perceived logical way can help me immensely.
