Well, coming to this story  –

It happened couple of months back and is being continued too J.

My wife had gone abroad for a six months’ assignment and I was alone in Bangalore. My office is in ITPL, near to Whitefield in east Bangalore and I stay around 6 km away from office.

This was again a usual working day, past six in the evening and I was negotiating with the huge rush on this small link road between Whitefield road and Old Madras road on my way back home. For some reasons, it was bumper-to-bumper traffic and I was not so comfortable in these situations too.

In between, the pile of vehicles started moving with some pace and I too took the speed. All of a sudden a company cab (all you Bangaloreians must be knowing about the notorious cab drivers here) came bit wrong side, opposite to me.

I had no other option, but to take the car to left and I heard something hit the left-backside of my car. I could see a black scooter losing balance and falling into the open drain in the left wing mirror!

I parked my car a little forward and came out. By this time, the passersby helped the scooter rider to come out of the drain.

I noticed that the rider was a lady in her early 30s! I reached to her and said “Sorry ma’am, I couldn’t get time to look into my left side, otherwise this accident could have been averted”.

“No..No.. its my mistake. I tried to overtake you through your left side. It’s ok “. She replied.

By this time the other guys gathered there helped getting her scooter out of the drain and left. Somebody even shouted at me too, though it was purely not my mistake this accident happened. Luckily, she didn’t have any major injury but there was blood in her left palm.

I asked “You got hurt? Let me see.”

She showed her left hand and there was a long bruise across her beautiful palm which was bit deep too. I got nervous and felt sorry for this lady.

“I have first aid kit..” and I rushed to my car.I pulled out some cotton to clean up her wound and then poured some antiseptic powder. Covered it with a layer of cotton. Then I have noticed red patches on her left waist area. There were few minor scratches towards the left side of her tummy and the blood stains made her white top red.

I told her to sit inside the car so that I can apply the powder there too. She was hesitant. But I insisted and she finally raised her top a little. Again I cleaned there with cotton and poured some powder. Luckily this injury was not that deep.

Now we got the next issue: She couldn’t ride her scooter with her injured left palm. I told her that I would drop her at home and she agreed. I kept her scooter in front of a shop nearby and told the shopkeeper that I would take it after a couple of hours.

We two started in my car. I have noticed still her palm was bleeding. The cotton was soaked in blood. I insisted her to visit the hospital nearby.

The staff of the hospital attended her and dressed the wound neatly. She was given a TT injection too. I paid for all.

She was staying 2 Km further from my place. I told her that I would drop her at home and would collect and keep her scooter in my place as she may not be able to ride it for another 2-3 days.

She can take it later from my apartment. She agreed and thanked me for all my kind help. I dropped her at her apartment and she thanked me a lot. We exchanged our numbers.

I went back to my apartment, later went and collected her scooter and kept it at my place. I texted her that her scooter was safe.
