It was an on-route village and some passengers were waiting at the bus stop. It was a very rural area and most of the passengers were low wage workers travelling for works from one place to other. I knew these were the people. If it had to be dirty and risky, "let it be" - I thought in my head as I was feeling the bus slow down for a 15 minute quick loo break as it would be a Non-Stop journey after the break. I saw some local villagers and by the crowd, around 4-5 members must be boarding the bus. Going by my 6th sense, someone in the crowd had to be that one fucked up stranger that doesn't know any limits of decency and is a sure shot pervert. Vasudha was still sleeping and didn't wake up yet. The bus driver was having a chat with other bus drivers and was getting ready for the journey ahead. Seeing that, I rushed and boarded the bus. I looked at our seats and Vasu was texting in her phone pushing herself into a corner. The stranger was settling himself in the seat and Vasudha, by the sound of my boarding looked up to me and smiled that I was there atlast. But If I go now, It will be Me and Vasu again and the stranger will be seated off somewhere. I knew the bus would start in 1-2 minutes and I suddenly signalled Vasu I forgot the water bottle and got down the bus. She frowned but didn't bother much and dozed off into her phone again. The drunk man saw all of this and would've probably understood what was going on. The bus started exactly in a minute and the lights were off as soon as the bus driver started the bus. It was moving in a slow pace, and I rushed back to the bus. I was the last passenger to board the bus and the driver shifted the gear into full speed.
