Chapter 27 – Chennai to Chandigarh
(POV – Aishu)
It was Monday faster than I expected. I got myself into a t-shirt and jean and cardigan and started to airport with Ajju. Sandy was the first to be there and I could see the excitement of travelling with me in his eyes, followed by, the bitch in a usual bitchy dress. Finally, Ravi came and he looked dashing today. I waved my hands at Ajju and we entered airport for the most exciting trip of my life.
Once I boarded the Jet airways flight, I found that my seat is along with Sandy and Meghna and Ravi will be sitting together. I was about to sit in my seat after keeping my hand luggage above me and my eyes crossed with Meghna’s eyes for a moment. Her eyes were cunning and there was a smirk on her face as if she is the queen and I am just a little slave of the game.
I shook my head n disgust and sat near Sandy. With my thoughts over the bitch’s smirk, I was consoling myself the seating is much better compared to if I had to sit along her.
“Hey. Dreaming?
Sandy’s voice brought me back to reality.
“Huh?”
“Dreaming or what?”
“No. No. “
“Been in a flight trip before?”
“Yeah. Why?”
“It’s my first time.”
“Oh. Wow. Enjoy then. You will really love it.”
“Why? Won’t you?”
“Not much. I get giddy in such travels so, its better I sleep sometime.”
We were interrupted by the announcement from pilot regarding the take-off and we were asked to switch of cell phones and fasten seatbelts. The usual routine. I was true about me getting giddy but, I was also in a bad mood by seeing the evil lady’s smirk and I wanted to have some lone time.
The flight started picking up its pace and started taking off and I had my eyes closed covered with my headsets to maintain pressure and something cold touched my hands. I opened my eyes and to my surprise it was Sandy’s hands over mine and he had his eyes closed tightly as if he was scared about it.
I thought of removing his hands but, he held my hands tightly and I had to compromise as it’s a matter of seconds and the poor guy is scared. In moments, flight has reached a proper altitude and came to a normal position and only then, the guy left my hands which were a bit painful due to his strong hands pressing hard. He looked at me sheepishly and said,
“Sorry. It’s the first time. Don’t take me wrong.”
“Ha. That’s ok.”
“Thanks. “
“So, you feeling giddy?”
“Better this time as my concentration was on someone who was scared.” I laughed and he laughed too.
I wanted myself to laugh a lot in this 2 hours journey to irritate Meghna and deeper, to create envy in Ravi’s mind. It wasn’t for any reason but, I have got confidence that I am much better looking than Meghna and I wanted every guy to talk with me and get my friendship so, I didn’t feel I am having any wrong thoughts.
The next 2 hours, Sandy and I were talking about all nonsense stuff and to my surprise; he seemed too bright than he actually used to look in office. He had some wide range of topics to talk about and was kind of sweet.
When it was 15 minutes to landing, Sandy whispered something to me.
“Be careful with Meghna. She doesn’t like you coming to this trip. May be the anniversary party jealousy or something but, she tried hard to replace you by Pradeep. She even has seeded a bad thought about you to him.”
“What bad thought?” I lowered my voice too.
“That you purposefully, dressed yourself in a party-wear on anniversary and grabbed Pradeep’s opportunity by.. by..”
“By what?”
“Err. Seducing VP.”
“What nonsense!”
“I know. I know. I didn’t believe it but, he seems to believe it. He is very angry and all because of Meghna’s words.”
“So, Why should I be careful?”
“She will be looking for even small opportunity to prove you are not compatible for the work and will try to impose blame on you for anything that goes wrong.”
He was saying this and smiling and I realized; In the event of sharing the secret and me too engrossed in hearing it, We have moved too closer and his mouth was right nearby my ear and the hot breath was felt in my ear. And then, as he tried to move on, I thought of saying thanks and turned towards him and he towards me and it resulted in his arms dashing right over my breasts and the speed we both turned created in a strong impact and I know he must have felt my pushup bra and the flesh with his arms pressing them.
He swiftly moved aside. All blood has flushed from his face. He knew what he touched.
“Sorry. Sorry. I just turned to say don’t show to anyone even back in office she is jealous. She has ears all over. I am sorry.”
I was embarrassed to hear a guy saying sorry for touching my breasts and I felt like a fool.
“Hmm. Thanks for the heads-up Sandy.” I said just this and with God’s grace, pilot announced about fastening seat belts again for the landing. And I turned straight and concentrated with the landing.
We landed down and picked the luggage and moved on to the cab that was waiting and Sandy without looking at my face got in the front. Meghna moved in the back seat from left side and was waiting for Ravi to enter. But, Ravi came to the right side and asked me to get in the car while holding his mobile for some call.
I entered in. Meghna moved towards the window. There was only one place left for Ravi. Meghna stared at me as if to burn me alive. She looked like such a bitch wanting to sit near him. I was not having any desire to sit near him or anything but, I was happy that I am going to sit near him for the next 2 and half hours bumpy mountain ride to Shimla just for making Meghna irritated. And Ravi came in and sat near me and his rich perfume fragrance hit my senses marking the beginning of the road trip.
