The girl I married…
Wait…this is not one of those routine stories where I screwed some girl etc., etc.,. Read through to feel the kick.
Everyone would have surprises in their lives and I had my share too. But this was something one would never expect and it happened in my life.
This would be beyond my imagination and naturally I had no hint of it. In summary, I got married to a girl settled in the US.

I had my education in a rural area of my state. Other than couple of occasions where it happened accidentally, I never touched a girl until my marriage.
I am into IT. After finishing couple of years of experience in IT, I moved to US. In the US, I was ping-ponged quite a bit by those body-shopping consultants and
finally settled with an insurance company in San Francisco as a permanent employee and got green card later. I had quite a few friends and we used to move
around night clubs etc., etc.,. But I never tried touching anyone in those bars, as the American girls never interested me. However, whenever I saw desi females
there, I used to get aroused.
Since, I got settled there, my people back in India started looking out matches for me. I insisted that I would marry a girl who was settled in the US so that there
wouldn’t be any cultural shock for her. After few months of research, our folks found a family that had been settled in the US, in Seattle. In fact, they were our
distant relatives. They were glad to accept the proposal and they wanted to meet me.
I was invited to Seattle during a weekend. I landed in Seatac airport at 10:30 AM on Saturday and was warmly received by my future father-in-law, Narayana Rao.
I could see a glitter in his eyes when he saw me. I am 6.1 tall and well-built. He drove me to his place in Everett in his beamer. I received another warm welcome
by Mahalakshmi, my would-be mother-in-law. She was looking beautiful even in her late 40s. I wasn’t too sure if women of her age in India would like so young.
It might be due to American life style. She was wearing sandalwood color saree with black sleeveless. Fair, active and with an affectionate fresh smile .
I was pretty impressed. I was sure their daughter would be equally good looking as both her parents were good looking. I was taken to a room where I freshened up myself and walked into their living room. A young chap, 21, stood up and shook his hand with me introducing himself as Anand, brother of swathi, the girl I was going to marry. His had a complete Americanized accent.
We got into a conversation, chatting about locations, interstate highways etc., In five minutes, a nice looking girl around 18 years brought us coffee and snacks.
She was Sushmita, swathi’s younger sister, in her jeans and T-shirt. She folded her hands and said Namaste. Anand introduced her to me. She sat next to Anand
and also got into the conversation. Later we were joined by Narayana Rao and Mahalakshmi. Their one more daughter Suvarna, 16 years old went to was in college.
I immediately wondered how they could manage a constant gap of 2 years in between those four kids.
It was not too surprising to hear that Anand was nicked as Andy, Sushmita as Susy, Suvarna as Suv, Narayana Rao as Rao and Mahalakshmi as Mahi by their
American friends. After couple of minutes, Mahalakshmi went in side.
They asked me questions about my job, education, place of work etc., and I could notice that they got pretty impressed. Narayana Rao expressed that he was
quite happy to give his daughter to a guy brought up in India. Narayana Rao migrated to US 12 years back when swathi was 9 years old.
