By the time Sid and Rahul came back to their flat, it was already 6PM. Rahul was very tired with all the assignment work and crashed on the couch in the hall but Sid, being the curious one walked into the bed room. He found Varun in an unusually good mood.
Sid asked, "What's up bro? What puts you in such a great mood?"
Varun was sitting at his computer table checking something on his laptop. Without out raising his head he replied, "Why would I not be in a great mood? I finished my assignments a week ago and have a lot of free time while you idiots are slaving over your assignments."
Sid was not convinced. He said, "No, there is something else. What is it Varun?" Varun kept smiling but did not say anything.
Sid suddenly said, "Oh God! We completely forgot to check on bhabhi to see if she had broken her third barrier." Hearing this, Varun lifted his head and acted all innocent, "Third barrier?"
Sid is not as observant as Rahul and so could not figure out that Varun was hiding something. Sid said, "Arey yaar, Didn't I tell you this morning that the DVDs along with the note were still on bhabhi's nightstand when I had dropped by and that she hadn't watched those DVD yet? The THIRD BARRIERRRRR!"
Sid thought Varun forgot all about it and was trying to remind him what it was. Varun did not respond but kept smiling and staring at the screen.
Sid got irritated as Varun was showing no interest in this very important matter and was, most probably watching porn.
He walked back into the hall saying, "Rahul, please explain to Varun how important this matter is for us to..." before he could finish his sentence, he realized that Rahul was fast asleep and was snoring.
Sid left him alone and went into the kitchen to get something to eat.
Varun was indeed watching porn on his laptop. He was going through all the Japanese porn movies with a similar theme as the one he gave Ruby. He was watching them from a "Guest" view point.
He was trying to learn all the tactics those guests/husband's bosses or colleagues/next door neighbors/escaped prisoners use to get a hold of the young wives when they are alone, before every assault. Also, he was learning, how they maintain all this a secret from everyone else - the husband and anyone else who come to the wife's house regularly, for the submission of the wife after the assault, to happen.
He had an evil smile while doing his "research".
Rahul woke up at around 7PM. He checked the time and yelled, "Arey Sid, get the bag of dresses we got from Rohan's apartment. You need to put them back where you found them, or else Rohan would get suspicious."
Sid came out from the bed room and said, "Please come with me Rahul. I am pretty sure I will mess things up, Rohan would find out that I opened the secret cabinet and you will yell at me. Please yaar!"
Rohan was dog tired but could not refuse. He said, 'Okay, okay. I will come. Arey Varun, let's go get some chai."
The trio walked out the apartment gate towards the chai wala shop opposite to it. They were leisurely enjoying their chai when Sid saw Ruby coming out of a shop in the shopping complex next to their apartment complex. He also noticed that she was walking out of a pharmacy.
So he put his glass down and walked towards that shop. As soon as he met her midway, he said, "Hi bhabhi. Is everything okay? Are you not feeling well?"
Ruby did not expect to run into anybody and was surprised a bit. She forced a smile on her face and said, "I am fine. I was getting stuff to refill the medicine cabinet."
Rahul and Varun got there as she said that and Varun got a grin on his face and started to steal glances at Ruby. He knew what she was there for - The morning after pills. He figured she would need them after all the unprotected sex they had that afternoon.
She noticed this but did not say anything. She said, 'Okay bye" and started walking towards the apartment complex gate. The boys started walking behind her and Sid wanted to ask her about the DVDs when a taxi went past them and stopped at the gate. The door opened and Amit got out of it. He turned around towards Ruby and waved at her with a cheek to cheek smile on his face.
Seeing this, the boys slowed down and Ruby started walking faster towards him. As she approached him, Amit gave her a big hug, something he never did in public. Ruby was surprised. Seeing the bag in her hands, Amit asked, "Shopping?" and she nodded her head.
Amit paid the taxi fare, picked his luggage and started walking into the apartment complex along with his wife.
Ruby was very nervous as they got into the elevator. She remembered that the DVD was still in the DVD player and the case along with the second DVD was still on the table in the hall. As soon as they reached their flat, Ruby said, "Allow me to open the door, you are carrying a lot of stuff." and opened the door and walked quickly into the flat. By the time Amit could carry his heavy luggage inside, she picked the two DVD cases and hid them in a drawer in the kitchen.
Amit walked in, closed the door behind him, came closer to Ruby and hugged her. She was surprised a second time in 10 minutes.
He said, "I am so sorry Ruby baby, about what I said this morning. I did not mean any of those things."
Hearing this Ruby was confused. Amit let go of her, sat on the couch and continued, "As I said, I went to my cousin's place after talking to you. After hearing everything I told him about the director falling ill and my boss keeping me us on standby and my choice to stay back while all others colleagues choosing to go back home, my cousin said, "This is not the Amit I knew".
"My Amit is a loving and caring person. He does not hurt people's feelings. Your problem is your inability to deal with the work load. You need to take a break or find a new job. You cannot take it out on bhabhi like this every time things get harder at work."
"I took the very next flight to come back to you", he said.
"I sent an email to my boss that I cannot continue to put in extra hours to clean up after my teammates because of their incompetency, anymore." he continued.
Ruby got a very warm feeling in her stomach after hearing this. She hugged him and started crying. Amit said, "There, there, I am doing all this to never make you cry and you on the other hand prefer to cry?" which brought a chuckle out of Ruby and she realized this was the first time Amit cracked a joke in many months.
She stopped crying and smiled. Amit said, "So time for celebration. Let us go out and have dinner somewhere. I will take a shower and come back in a bit", and walked into the bedroom.
Ruby stood there thinking that this could be a dream. She slowly came back to reality and moved towards the DVD player to get the DVD out of it. She grabbed the two DVDs and walked closer to the bedroom door. She could hear the sound of water running in the shower. She walked closer to the shower and yelled, "Amit, let me quickly stop by our neighbor's flat and get the laptop adaptor."
Without waiting for an answer from Amit, she walked into the hall, picked the laptop adaptor and walked out the door towards the trio's flat.
Ruby rang the door bell and Varun opened it. He got the same evil smile as before, seeing Ruby. He did not think he would get another chance to assault her so soon. As Sid and Rahul went to Rohan's place, he figured he had ample time to do "it" multiple times. Before she could say anything, he grabbed her hand and pulled her inside. He locked the door and turned towards her and started to approach her. He wanted to get a hold of her pallu when Ruby stepped forward and pushed with both her hands on his chest as hard as she could. Varun had to take a few steps back to avoid falling on his back.
"NO" she said loudly with an authoritative voice. Her eyes were red with anger. "Not again, never again! I was drunk, confused and agitated this afternoon when I did it. It is a bad dream, a mistake, which I have put behind me already. You do the same."
She paused for a bit and continued, "No woman in her right mind would want it a second time, let alone get addicted to it. The sooner you get it into your thick head, the better for everyone."
"Here, take this stuff" and shoved the DVDs into his stomach very hard hurting him.
"You better maintain your distance from now on, GOODBYE!!!" she almost yelled those last words, turned around and walked away.
Amit took Ruby out for dinner and the couple enjoyed themselves.

Ruby likes it when Amit takes his motor cycle instead of his car to work as he normally returns home earlier if he takes the bike, easier to get through traffic, she reasoned. As soon as she got out of the elevator, she saw Sid waiting for her at her apartment door. He greeted her, "Good morning bhabhi!"

"Bhabhi, can I borrow 2,000 rupees from you? I will return it next week." Ruby said, "Of course" and walked past him into her flat and Sid followed.

Ruby got irritates and said, "No, I did not and I don't think it is appropriate for me. So, I returned them yesterday."
"Yesterday?" Sid asked, "To whom?"

Sid sounded all confused, "Huh?, he did not say anything about you returning the DVDs. In fact he was acting all weird yesterday."
"Weird?" Ruby had to ask, "How so?"
Sid explained, "He was unusually happy when Rahul and I got home at around 6 PM, but did not tell us why he was happy." Ruby was staring at the floor holding her breath and was relieved to hear this.
Sid continued, "Rahul and I had to go to a friend's place for a bit and came back at 10PM and he was all gloomy. He did not talk at all and went straight to bed. He even skipped dinner, which he never does.
Even in the morning, he got up early, got ready, got on his bike and left, just before Amit bhayya left. Varun did not even tell Rahul where he was going. We have never seen him in such a sad mood before."
"Ah well, I will get going bhabhi. Thanks for the loan. I will return it next week." saying this he walked out the door.
Ruby felt bad for Varun. But thought it is for the best and started going about doing her chores for the day.

At around 5PM, Ruby got a call on her mobile from Rahul. He said, "Bhabhi, can you please get ready? I will be at your flat in 20 minutes." and before she could say anything, hung up.
He showed up exactly after 20 minutes. Ruby wore a practical salwar kameez and was waiting for him. "What happened? Where are you taking me?" She asked.
"You will know in a bit", he replied. He had a serious look on his face and so Ruby did not press any further and followed him downstairs and got onto his motor cycle.
He drove her straight to a hospital and Sid was waiting for them at the hospital entrance. Ruby got very scared and was asking them, "What happened? Why are we here?"
Sid did not say anything and asked her to follow him. They went to the reception and from there they started walking towards the ward. Ruby's heart rate was through the roof. No one was telling her anything.
As soon as they reached a room, Sid stopped the doctor coming out of that room and asked, "How is he doctor?" and the doctor, replied, "Out of danger now. He is still sedated. You can go in a see him, but please do not try to wake him up." and walked away.
Relieved, Sid signaled Ruby to walk into the room. There she stopped in her steps when she saw Amit on the bed with his left arm and left leg in bandages.
She could not believe what she saw and started crying. Sid walked close to her and held her shoulders and made her sit on a chair. "Bhabhi, the doctor said bhayya will be fine. Don't worry."
Before he could say anything, Varun walked into the room with some medicines in his hands and said, "Sid, here are the medicines." and saw Ruby there. He slowly placed the medicines on the table and walked out the door. Ruby raised her head and saw Varun but did not say anything and continued sobbing.
Rahul walked into the room a while later. It got a little busy in that room after that with nurses and doctors walking in and out. Ruby and the boys were asked to wait outside.
As the stepped outside, Ruby saw Varun walking towards them with a big parcel. She could figure out he brought them dinner. He handed the parcel over to Sid, told him something and walked away. Sid, Rahul and Ruby went to the waiting area and sat there. The boys started unpacking the parcels and asked Ruby to wash her hands. She said, "I am not hungry" to which Rahul replied, "It is already 8PM. You would need your energy bhabhi. You cannot take care of bhayya on an empty stomach."
She saw the point and started slowly having food. She asked, "What happened?" Sid said, "Accident" and could not give more details as he himself did not know. As soon as they were done, one of the hospital staff members came and announced "Only one visitor can stay for the night" and walked away.
Rahul got up and asked Sid to drop Ruby home. Ruby refused. She said, "How can I go leaving Amit?"
"Don't worry bhabhi, one of us will be here. At least you can get some rest tonight so that you can take care of bhayya during the day." and signaled Sid to take her home.
Ruby could not sleep the entire night. She was tossing and turning waiting for it to be the morning. She work up early, got ready, prepared breakfast for 5 people, packed it and went to Sid's flat and rang the door bell. Sid answered, "One minute" and came back and opened the door.

Then Amit looked at Ruby and said, "I misjudged these boys and took them for awara types. They are not. I even misbehaved when the skinny looking guy came to our house the other day. I feel bad now. "
"Please invite them over for dinner and make some special dishes for them. Don't forget to give some special treatment, to the fat one."
Ruby was confused and said with a chuckle, "His name is not the fat one, it is Varun" and proceeded to ask, "Why special treatment for him?"
Amit started to narrate what happened. " I was off to work and at around the corner where they unload the vegetable trucks, one of the trucks backup a bit too much and onto the traffic. I was in the way and was the first one to be directly hit. Good thing I was wearing the helmet. The next thing I remember is the fat one, sorry Varun carrying me in his arms yelling, "Auto Auto.""
"When I woke up in the hospital, I remember him yelling and fighting with the on duty nurses for not attending to me right away. He stayed with me until the other two joined. But he was the one who took care of everything, getting medicine, food and everything else."

"I have to tell you, he is a weird character and has a very weird sense of humor" Amit continued. "How so?" she asked.
"He has an amazing ability to connect each and everything to food. When I woke up he was telling me about the truck that hit me and told me that the truck that hit me delivers locally grown chicken to the nearby restaurant and the kadai chicken at that restaurant is out of this world."
Ruby gave out a big laughter hearing this. Amit also got into a great mood telling the rest of the story.
"Describing the nurse who attended me this morning, he compared her big boobs to the bondas he eats at a street vendor and that the bondas are out of this world. As the stepped outside, Ruby saw Varun walking towards them with a big parcel. She could figure out he brought them dinner. He handed the parcel over to Sid, told him something and walked away. Sid, Rahul and Ruby went to the waiting area and sat there. The boys started unpacking the parcels and asked Ruby to wash her hands. She said, "I am not hungry" to which Rahul replied, "It is already 8PM. You would need your energy bhabhi. You cannot take care of bhayya on an empty stomach."
She saw the point and started slowly having food. She asked, "What happened?" Sid said, "Accident" and could not give more details as he himself did not know. As soon as they were done, one of the hospital staff members came and announced "Only one visitor can stay for the night" and walked away.
Rahul got up and asked Sid to drop Ruby home. Ruby refused. She said, "How can I go leaving Amit?"
"Don't worry bhabhi, one of us will be here. At least you can get some rest tonight so that you can take care of bhayya during the day." and signaled Sid to take her home.
Ruby could not sleep the entire night. She was tossing and turning waiting for it to be the morning. She work up early, got ready, prepared breakfast for 5 people, packed it and went to Sid's flat and rang the door bell. Sid answered, "One minute" and came back and opened the door.
He said, "Good morning bhabhi" and they both were on the road in no time.
Amit was awake by the time they reached the hospital and was talking to folks. As soon as Ruby entered the room, Varun who was seated beside the bed, got up and walked out. Ruby quickly sat next to Amit and took his right hand in her hand and started crying. Amit said, "Don't worry dear, the doctors said there were no broken bones and no head injury. I got lucky. I should be on my feet in no time."
Slowly Ruby stopped crying. As they were talking the boys stood up and started walking out to give them some privacy. Amit waved at them and said, "Thank you boys!"
Then Amit looked at Ruby and said, "I misjudged these boys and took them for awara types. They are not. I even misbehaved when the skinny looking guy came to our house the other day. I feel bad now. "
"Please invite them over for dinner and make some special dishes for them. Don't forget to give some special treatment, to the fat one."
Ruby was confused and said with a chuckle, "His name is not the fat one, it is Varun" and proceeded to ask, "Why special treatment for him?"
Amit started to narrate what happened. " I was off to work and at around the corner where they unload the vegetable trucks, one of the trucks backup a bit too much and onto the traffic. I was in the way and was the first one to be directly hit. Good thing I was wearing the helmet. The next thing I remember is the fat one, sorry Varun carrying me in his arms yelling, "Auto Auto.""
"When I woke up in the hospital, I remember him yelling and fighting with the on duty nurses for not attending to me right away. He stayed with me until the other two joined. But he was the one who took care of everything, getting medicine, food and everything else."
This started to make Ruby feel bad and sorry for Varun, thinking about` what she said to him.
"I have to tell you, he is a weird character and has a very weird sense of humor" Amit continued. "How so?" she asked.
"He has an amazing ability to connect each and everything to food. When I woke up he was telling me about the truck that hit me and told me that the truck that hit me delivers locally grown chicken to the nearby restaurant and the kadai chicken at that restaurant is out of this world."
Ruby gave out a big laughter hearing this. Amit also got into a great mood telling the rest of the story.
"Describing the nurse who attended me this morning, he compared her big boobs to the bondas he eats at a street vendor and that the bondas are out of this world. He compared a visitor's ass to some puffed up dish, I forgot..poori or something." Ruby continued laughing. "He even compared the way my left foot was hanging on the counter weights for support after they bandaged it, to the way the roasted chicken legs are hung at some restaurant, which are again "
"out of this world" , Ruby finished his sentence.
Ruby started tearing up with laughter hearing all this.
Amit paused and said in a serious tone, "He even stayed here with me all night sending the other two home. It was these conversations with him I had, that got me through the day."
"Such a nice at the same time weird person. Everything is about food, or porn with him. He definitely deserves special treatment."
Ruby also got a serious look on her face and was staring down towards the floor. She was lost in her own thoughts and said, "Sure Amit, I will give him SPECIAL treatment.", stressing on the word special.
