Wrong Confidence Part 3
One day about two months ago I went to market with my wife in evening. The market was just by the side of the bus stand of the small town in which we are now leaving in after my promotion. When we are passing by, a bus from Siliguri came and stopped. Some 8-10 men and two women get down from the bus. Suddenly I pointed out a very familiar and well known face among them. It was Rahul and I am seeing him after about six years. We have last met in his marriage ceremony, which was held about one year before my marriage, and at that time he was working in Delhi. Due to his busy schedule he could not attend my marriage and gradually our communication is fainted out with time and during last three years we don’t have any communication between us. However, let me come back again into the present time. He was in a blue jeans and yellow t-shirt with two big bags hanging from his two shoulders. Perhaps he did not notice me and went to a cigarette shop and was asking something which I could not heard from a distance. I just ask my wife to wait a while and moved at the back of Rahul. I patted very lightly on his shoulder and he turned back. He was very much surprised to see me here in a small town. However, we were very much happy. I took one of his bags and pulled him along with me. When we reached near Sumana, my wife, I introduced both of them to each other. Rahul first politely apologised to Sumana for not able to attend our marriage. Sumana smilingly said that was ok as he had a huge pressure of work. I then enquired about the purpose of Rahul’s visit to our small town. In response he told that he has some work in this town for his company and he has to stay here for 15 days. He then enquired about a good hotel if I know any. But before I said anything Sumana answered, “It is no way that we will allow you to stay in a hotel here. We are having a very large three roomed quarter for us here and you will stay there with us for the fortnight”. I became happy and worried at the same time by hearing my wife’s proposal. Happy, because after a long time I am seeing my one time best friend and will have a good time to spent with him on the other hand worried because Rahul knows every black patches of my previous life which I kept hidden from my wife and may come exposed to her during Rahul’s stay at our place. Though I know that Rahul is also having a dirty mind and also know about his expertise in seducing woman but I have more confidence on my wife and her personality so I don’t have any fear for my wife from Rahul’s side. And that confidence actually proved wrong at the end.
