She pointed to the forest, and asked the thief---“What is beyond that forest?”
---“High snow peaked mountains. Green grass fields. Tall pine and cedar trees. There is a narrow stream flowing between those mountains. It sings when the water dances around the pebbles and boulders.”
Upon hearing all these, her cute face turned gloom---“You roam all over the world. I always wanted to goto hills and play in the snow. I wanted to sing along with the river.”
The thief touched her shoulder. It sent a sweet chill through her beautiful frame.
The thief spoke---“You can go easily. You have got wings and you can fly.”
She turned towards the thief and spoke with a melancholy tone---“I can’t fly. Fairy Godmother has never taught me to fly. I can’t go out because she has etched a circle around the periphery.”
The thief stooped down and touched her chin---“I will take you.”
She looked up, her big dark eyes were filled up with delight---“Promise.”
He nodded---“Yes. But you have to give me the potion bottle.”
Her face again turned gloom---“I can give you. But how can I go? I can’t cross the line.”
The thief transformed to Unicorn and said to her---“I will dug a burrow under this hut, under that forest and will take you to the mountains. Will you go with me?”
She jumped in joy and nodded her head---“Yes.”
She wrapped the bottle of potion in a silk handkerchief and hid that in her gown.
The Unicorn started to dig burrow with his horn. He dug under the hut, under the forest. The beautiful Fairy crawled behind the Unicorn. It was dark inside the burrow. The manes of the Unicorn glowed in the dark to show the path. Her eyes were filled up with intense delight and same time her heart was filled up with unknown fear.
She asked the Unicorn in frightful voice---“Are you sure this is the right direction?”
The Unicorn neighed gently and nodded his head “Yes.”
The Fairy was tired, so she asked the Unicorn to stop burrowing. The Unicorn stopped burrowing and looked back. Her eyes were heavy. That was the first time she was out of her domain. She rested her head on his shoulder and fell asleep. The Unicorn gently pushed the Fairy on his back and started digging. He continued digging for two days.
After two days, the Unicorn came out of the burrow beyond the forest. The beautiful Fairy was still asleep on his back. The morning rays of sun were sparkling on the snow peaks. The warmth of the rays woke the Fairy. She rubbed her beautiful lotus buds and looked up. She was amused to find that she was at the foot of a high hill. There were snow peaked mountains beyond those small hills. Her heart was filled up with pure ecstasy. She jumped down from his back, stretched her arms, and looked up. She twirled around and took a deep breath, filled her lungs with fresh air. Her huge blue silk gown unfurled like a huge umbrella. Her long silvery white braid flew all over her cute face.
The Unicorn trotted slowly near her and rubbed his face on her nape. She blushed as she felt his warm caresses on her nape.
The Unicorn then metamorphosed back to thief.
He asked her---“Do you want to fly, My Beautiful Fairy?”
She nodded her head gently.
The thief scooped her on his lap and threw her in the air. The Fairy tried hard to flutter her wings. However, she could not. She was too weak to fly. She fell down on his arms again. The thief understood that the Fairy was weak. He looked around to find some fruits.
The Fairy asked him---“What are you searching for?”
---“For some fruits.”
---“Why?”
---“You are weak. You need something to eat.”
---“What about you?”
---“I have dry breads with me. You devour fruits, dew, and honey. You won’t be able to eat these, my Beautiful Fairy.”
The Fairy came near the thief and touched his arm---“Whatever you will feed me, I will relish that.”
