The Fairy asked the Unicorn---“Who are you? From where have you come?”
The Unicorn neighed again.
The Fairy could not understand anything.
She asked him ---“Are you hungry?”
The Unicorn nodded his head as if signing her that he was hungry.
The Fairy brought some fruits and fed it to the Unicorn. All the while she fed the Unicorn, she gently ruffled his manes and rubbed his neck.
She asked him---“Are you lost?”
The Unicorn nodded his head “Yes”.
She kissed the cheek of the Unicorn and said in her sweet voice---“Will you be my friend?”
The Unicorn nodded his head as he chewed the fruits “Yes.”
She threw her arms around the neck of the Unicorn and rubbed her cheeks on his---“Ok then, we are friends. Stay with me. Tomorrow morning when Godmother will arrive, she will weave a beautiful saddle for you. I will ride with you in the meadows. I will play with you.”
Suddenly her voice sounded gloom---“I am very alone, here. No one is there to play with me.”
The Unicorn nodded his head and rubbed his cheek on her head as if saying, “I am there with you.”
She asked the Unicorn to sleep at one corner and she closed her eyes beside the Unicorn over the silk mattress.
The twilight of the dawn reached the window of the hut and slowly flooded the room. Slowly the rays danced over the cute face of the Fairy. The warmth of the morning rays woke her up. She opened her beautiful eyes as if the lotus petals were unfurling gently in the morning rays. She threw her arms up in the air only to find that the Unicorn was gone. She looked around and was surprised to find a young man sitting in the place of the Unicorn. The young man was engrossed in beholding the sleeping beauty. His trance broke with the shriek of the Fairy.
“Who are you? How have you entered my hut?” her voice was terrified and was shaking.
The young man stretched his arm towards the Fairy and persuaded her to keep quiet.
He smiled at her and answered in his deep voice---“You don’t remember? You ushered me in, yesterday night. I am the Unicorn.”
The Fairy was amazed to hear that.
She shook her head in disbelief---“It can’t be. You are lying.”
---“I am a thief. I came to steal the enchanting potion from the Fairy Godmother. However, when I saw you. Your lotus shaped eyes, creamy soft cheeks, rosy lips, and your gorgeous beauty smote me. I forgot about the potion. I turned myself to the Unicorn to enter the house.”
On hearing those compliments, she turned her face away to hide her blush. She looked outside the window.
The thief approached the Fairy and stood behind her. He took a deep breath to inhale her jasmine fragrance. The aroma filled his lungs.
She looked over her shoulder and asked the thief---“What is your name?”
The thief cooed in her ears---“What do you want to call me?”
She gave a naughty smile---“White Unicorn.”
The thief smiled back---“So be it, my Beautiful Fairy.”
The Unicorn neighed again.
