I messaged Rashmi casually– “Enjoying the weather.”

Rashmi – “Ya. Nice na.”
Param – “No power here.. No work .”
Rashmi – “Same here. Thinking of going home.”
Param – “How will you go in such a rain”
Rashmi – “Will tell Rohan to send the car. Or will take a taxi.”
Param – “Me too thinking of leaving office now. “
Rashmi – “Where r u going.”
Param – “Not yet decided. Just w anted to enjoy the rain. It has been a long time since I got wet in the rain.”
Rashmi – “Wow.”
Param – “Have you ever enjoyed being in the rain.”
Rashmi – “Ya. I loved to get wet in the rain.”
Param – “Then common. Lets go for a drive.”
Rashmi – “Where?”
Param – “Lets get out first. Then we will think where to go.”
Rashmi – “Ok”
Param – “Meet me in front of the Coffee shop in five minutes.”
(I called Rashmi at the coffee shop opposite to our building and not at the parking since the lunch had just finished and people coming after lunch may notice us).
Spirited by the so called achievement which I had achieved, I cancelled the evening party making some excuses.. I exchanged my vehicle for a bike with a friend of mine, who was more than eager to get a four wheeler in this rainy weather.
I took his bike and kept my mobile & purse in the side small cabinet of the bike to prevent them from getting wet. Then drove off the parking. The heavy rain immediately got me drenched as I got out of the parking.
The roads were empty as no one had expected this rain. So people took shelters in nearby shops and shades.
I went to the other side of the road and stopped ahead of the coffee shop. The coffee shop was crowded with people who might have gone there to take shelter from the rain. Rashmi was not among them. I thought this was not the right place to call Rashmi. Anyone might have seen her go out with me.
