As we were entering the flat….
“Oh!!! The party was awesome…enjoyed it”, I told looking at both Mahesh and Neelam.
“Ya…that was fun… but I must tell you, you did a blast today by your presence. What a sense of humor you have got yaar” Neelam was still excited even if the party was over 30 min back.
“True Aryan. I don’t think in your absence the party would have been so interesting”. Mahesh echoed.
Neelam: Hmmm. Aryan always gets the attention of the crowd in no time.
As I was getting comfortable on sofa, Mahesh went to wash room and Neelam sat down on sofa in front.
Me: Ya. I know that. But ma’am all said and done, today’s center of attraction was you and only you.
Neelam: Hmmm. That discussion left incomplete. You were saying that you used the word “gorgeous” conservatively. What would you say if I ask you to come out of your conservative comments?
Me: Right. So to answer your question, if I say outrageously, I would not say anything less than “you were looking hot, curvaceous and sexy babe”… I am sorry if I am crossing any limits in my word usage, but if at all I am crossing the limit, you are the one to blame.
We laughed.
That time Mahesh entered into the discussion.
Neelam: I’ll just come in a minute.
I thought, surely, now she’ll go and change the dress.
Mahesh: what is reason for such laughter?
Me: Nothing yaar. Some incidents in the party. We just reminded that.
Neelam returned in a minute. Surprisingly she had not changed her dress.
Mahesh to Neelam: arrey… you didn’t freshen up.
Neelam: I did
Mahesh: Oh! You didn’t change. I thought so.
Neelam: that’s for a reason sir. Aryan is the one who is appreciating me. And look at you… (Saying this she hit his shoulder playfully)
Mahesh: Oh, is it? I know he appreciated you in the party. And I also agree that you are looking gorgeous.
Neelam (looking at me): “Gorgeous” se kaam nahi chalega (Gorgeous wont suffice). Aryan is the one who said that I look hot, curvaceous and sexy babe in this. Right Aryan?
Mahesh: Ma’am. I was the one who asked you to wear this dress. Otherwise you were planning to wear that long sleeveless evening gown. Aryan… I tell you these girls are too much. I told her that now a days, at least in Bangalore, it’s perfectly fine if you wear such strapless dresses and especially when you are having a party within a separate room. She was the one who was feeling shy. Now she wants sexy comments.
Me: In that case, Neelam, you should appreciate Mahesh for choosing such a glam and sexy dress for you. And Mahesh, not all girls can carry such dresses the way Neelam has. In fact, when I was in goa for office conference few months back, I had bought an off-shoulder dress for Neha. But unfortunately I got the wrong one and it didn’t fit her.
Neelam: Oh, Is it? Why? You don’t know her measurements? (she smiled and winked her eye)
Me: Nothing like that. I know that. But somehow I feel the person whom you are buying it for should be there for a trial. This dress of yours, you took a trial or was it a gift from Mahesh.
Neelam: Both. It was gifted and I was there for trial.
Me: Great. And yes, as Mahesh said. Now the era of calling sleeveless tops and dresses as “hot” has gone. And the point of time in life, when we are full of energy, girls like Neelam should try out such dresses.
Neelam: Girls like me???? (she said with a question mark on face)
Me (smiling): oh! Is it not obvious?
Neelam: it is. But today I am in mood to get appreciations. Mister Mahesh…you have any problems in that?
Mahesh: Not at all.
Neelam again turned her head towards me in anticipation of an answer.
Me: I mean a girl who has maintained her hot figure even after marriage and someone who has sense of dressing.
Neelam (feeling proud): Thank you.
Me: Pleasure is all mine ma’am. So Mahesh… What do you have to say about Neelam being the center of attraction today. (Now turning towards Neelam) Look Neelam… If he appreciates you fully now, you have to treat me with… ummmm… “A nice coffee”
Neelam: Sure. It’s a deal
Mahesh: Hahahaha… Sure… Actually, today I felt really proud of myself, just because I am Neelam’s husband. Now few of the people in the party were hypocrites. They must have all observed Neelam and must have felt of saying that she is looking hot. But they did not. But Aryan… We like you for this same reason… You expressed what you felt about Neelam and didn’t think over it while conveying it to her. Because in point of actual fact, she is looking damn sexy today.
Neelam: Oh sweetheart… Thank you so much!!!
Mahesh: you are welcome sweetie!!! But let me complete… So Aryan.. If you remember correctly when you were in Bangalore for a year that time you must have seen Neelam a bit reserved in dressing, right?
Me: I wont use the word “reserved”… She used to dress elegantly. And as I said she has a sense of dressing and she knows how to carry herself. Even that time she used to look glam in her sleeveless suits and tops. And if I am not wrong she used to wear fitting costumes which is enough for her to attract the eyes.
Neelam: Oh wow!!! See Mahesh… He still remembers what I used to dress and how I used to dress. And by the way thanks you realized that just a fitting dress is enough for me from which I infer you actually wanted to comment on my figure.
Me: Any doubts??
Mahesh: So... to continue… As we are big followers of zoom TV, we often observed the celebrities in revealing outfits, that too in public events; we felt that why not Neelam explore more as far as dressing is concerned.
Here I got the clue that Mahesh is perfectly alright if someone would praise his hot wife.
Me: Oh great!!! We match in our thinking. And as far as my limited knowledge about woman psychology goes, they feel like trying out bolder and sexy outfits around 25-30 years age, as their youth is ripe in that period. But unfortunately in India that is when they get married and get stuck in the rituals and so called family ethics. But it’s good that people like us get opportunities to stay in places like Bangalore where the culture is changing at a fast pace. At least in pubs, we get to see girls in revealing outfits. And I must say wearing this sexy off shoulder mini dress was a great decision Neelam and I am sure all the attendees must be envying Mahesh. Now that I have the liberty, I don’t know how much should I say to convey how hot and sexy you look Neelam.
Neelam: Oh!! Thanks once again for the praise. Now I am getting self-obsessed hearing your comments.
Me: You should be!!! But it would be more exciting to know exactly how you felt from the point of deciding the costume till wearing it and then appearing in front of the guests.
