Or, are they one and the same, really! How you control your lust is what defines you. Rana hardly controlled his lust and it led to his downfall. Whenever he lusts for a woman, he went for it and then satisfy his lust. He is like a rabid animal who can do evil things to quench his thirst. He is impatient when it comes to lust.
Venky knows how to control his lust and makes sure that the woman he lusts for will be the one who fall for him. Looks like he waits till his prey is ready and spreads her legs for him. He is patiently waiting for his preys fall. This makes him different from Rana.
2. Other comments on Season 3 in general!
Very well written ending for Season 3. Escapist Chai - He is just a normal person in daily life who runs away from problem than facing it. But, what he did in front of Rana was unforgivable.
Estranged Sam - Her Thoughts about Chai and Venky are understandable. Women love men who will protect them from evil, that's actual duty of a husband. Chai has failed to perform his duties to protect Sam from evil Venky as Sam's Husband - "inception of this thought" will be the baseline of future seasons. I am sure that she will start looking at Venky Mama differently.
Venky Mama - This dude had a crush on Sam. WOW.. Now he has a chance to fulfill his incomplete dream. It's good to see him not flirting with her during her college times and keeping distance. Actually, this makes him somehow different from Rana.
Thanks for the detailed & engaging response as always, DDDD Silver Bro!
You know what? your analysis reminded me of Ravana!!
There are 2 aspects about how Ravana dealt with Women
First:
Thousands, literally, Thousands, of young nubile "VIRGIN" women
belonging to Manava, Pitr, Daitya, Gods,
Yakshas, Kinhara, Keervana, Gandharvas ethnicities
consensually submitted themselves to Ravana.
They ALL desired him deeply.
They all desired to be owned by him.
Ravana had Orgies with them all.
(Reference: Sundarakanda, Pushpaka sub-section)
This didn't do any damage to Ravana's name, fame, or glory.
Second:
It was only his pursuit of UNWILLING women - Rambha (his brother's DIL ), Sita, another Apsara - his Doom came upon!
I did not plan this but in a way,
VV seems to have the first set of qualities of Ravana &
Rana certainly has the second set of qualities of Ravana!
But Wait - do not come to any conclusions about VV yet!
